Came here twice whilst on holiday in kettlewell. The first time we went there was hardly anything left to eat and a meagre amount of choice. The next time we visited this establishment we had just done a 4 hour walk and were ready for a drink. However..when we got there..the waitress told us to take a seat ( outside as no room inside) and she would bring a menu. So we obligingly did so..and waited..and waited for the menu and although we had arrived before another couple they were instantly given said menu straight away. So I queried this with the waitress who didn't seem that bothered..although the customer passed me the menu. (Bearing in mind there were only 6 people outside being served). My partner had ordered an American which arrived in a cracked cup and he wasn't asked if he'd like hot milk or not. After a little while my pot of tea arrived ( why wasnt both drinks bought out together?). My cup had a large chip in it.. And although I asked for extra milk none was provided, until I asked again! I was euphoric, sweaty, stinking, bleary-eyed and chose the takeout option to sit on a bench next to the river running through Kettlewell. Nice looking deli counter though only glanced at the menu. Really friendly staff, really nice Earl Grey - probably all the nicer after all of that. After finishing it I noticed that the cafe/deli had a nice garden area I could have sat it....

Cakes and soup all homemade. Offers sandwiches, tapas, melts etc. I had a lovely Ecuador hot chocolate and a delicious slice of homemade fruit tea-loaf with yummy Wensleydale cheese. Was so good, two ladies on a nearby table coveted it and both ordered the same. Would definitely revisit and recommend. Gets busy, may have to wait a little while for table service, but definitely...
