The food was excellent - I had the cheese and onion croquettes (very tasty!), the slow roasted rolled feather blade of beef (the meat was so good, melting in the mouth), and a trio of desserts to sample a bit of everything. Excellent food for a very reasonable price - be careful though, you need to order at least 2 courses, as they are not individually priced and can only be ordered as part of a set (or you can eat just one and pay as if you'd had two).

The room was old, floor boards rattled, old lead window pains vibrated all night in the wind. Food wasn’t too bad in the main restaurant, breakfast you may as well forget about. Missing the upper class experience. Restaurant manager was arguing in plain site at breakfast with employees. Would not return sadly.

The food was really good, the bread was cold almost as though it were refrigerated which was the only down part to a few dishes. Other than that, the presentation and portion sizes were great.

Just ate here. Food was very very average, having been eating delicious food in Scotland all week.

Starters had clearly been sat around a while, potato croquets were powdery and bread with duck terrine was soggy.

For mains had Featherblade Stake and Butterfly of chicken. The steak was more like a braised steak. The chicken had bits of hair in and was average.

Onion rings were oily and a little soggy. A solid 5/10 experience. Not awful but wouldn't want to pay much if it wasn't...
