Even with the Covid issue this place really impressed. I had the meal deal from next door in the Premier inn, so had an evening meal and breakfast here. The evening staff were great despite one of them bringing me vinegar instead of brown sauce. : / The food was very good and arrived really quickly, the treacle sponge was quite simply 'to die for' but for me the thing that just pipped the food was the strawberry flavoured Pepsi Maxx. Oh sweet jesus it was nice. In the morning the breakfast was a bit odd, I appreciate that Covid is running riot and you can't have food sitting around waiting to be coughed over but there has to be a better way. All I wanted was a cup of tea and a bowl of cereal, museli to be precise. However the friendly host was obsessed with cooked breakfasts. So after the usual morning niceties and the guest chit chat. Toast sir? No thank you, just tea and cereal Orange or any fruit juice? No thank you, just tea and cereal. Cooked breakfast sir? No thank you, just tea and cereal, please. It's freshly cooked! No ! Jus....you get the picture. So, after being offered a veritable endless banquet, when he eventually brought my "bowl full of museli" there was one farting little child sized pouch of the stuff sat inside the bowl. Aaargghhh, what the hell! You just offered me 50 quids worth of food but brought me 18p's...

Best value food for miles. We are regular visitors to the Aire & Calder Brewers Fayre in Goole area. We return because it’s kept clean, tables always wiped, plates etc moved from the tables promptly. The friendly staff, Paul, Collette, Gavin are just some of the lovely welcoming managers and there’s another couple of managers a lovely young lady with glasses and another dark haired young woman sorry I forget their names however all the staff there are great at their job. The young member of staff who has just returned after having a baby and Rob would go that extra mile to help you have a lovely, relaxing meal & drink in there. Nothing is ever too much trouble for any of them to help you. The menu is varied suitable to all tastes. There’s the two for £8.99 offer every week day before 6pm with cheap starters & deserts, so real value for money. We’ve tried most of the menu and never had a bad meal. I can honestly say the Sunday lunches are delicious for £8.99 you won’t taste better. Big pat on the back to the kitchen chefs & staff. The drinks are reasonably priced too. We’ve tried other Brewers Fayre but none come close to the Aire & Calder. Well done to the fantastic staff, you know we’ll...

Full stars all around for this restuarant/bar that I think doesn’t get enough recognition, Collette the manager Macy, riomi if I’ve spelt it right? Sorry OMI if I have! Olivia, Grant, Rob, Elisha, eveh Emileh, teagen and Terry in the kitchen and the rest of the staff behind the scenes in the kitchen… Every one of them have kept me feeling welcomed, properly fed in the morning with the great breakfasts to get me though the day and the evening meals which are also lush i’m kept happy to drink here with all the banter someone working away from home could only ask for. Sometimes the place is full sometimes the place is empty from all kinds of people, families to passers by but I’ve always been treated with the upmost respect care and kindness. Don’t even get me started on how excited they are to make cocktails. No one has twisted my arm to make this review, all the most gratitude for these tightly knitted staff, The tip jar doesn’t get full enough, if only I could fill it myself, so a review is the next best thing,

6 weeks I’ve been here by the way and I’m still welcomed back so thankyou Are and Calder...

Gluten free dining at Brewer’s Fayre I’ve had to be gluten free for the last 18 months and finding a restaurant that takes this seriously is sometimes a challenge. We booked ahead for the Brewer’s Fayre at Goole on arrival they offered me the full allergy menu and made it clear that I could take my time selecting suitable dishes from the menu. I was informed that my food would be cooked separately and that we could expect a slight delay. Our server, Robert J, was extremely attentive and even brought me separately wrapped cutlery. The meal itself was enjoyable and good value. If you have an allergy I would recommend this restaurant and let them know in advance of your dietery requirements. This is such a refreshing change from most other places.

Dinner - Staff were friendly but struggling - poor lad on the bar was having a tough time keeping on top of taking food and drink ordered on his own and had no time to clear the bar etc. He was obviously frustrated by the situation but absolutely doing his best. Food was fine - nice and hot, cheap enough. Breakfast - really friendly and welcoming staff but definitely the saddest 'Premier Inn breakfast' I've ever had. The cooked breakfast isn't served as a buffet but ordered with waiting staff. My scrambled eggs and bacon came out quickly and was nice and hot but the scrambled eggs were bland and insipid. I wouldn't bother booking breakfast to be honest - I should have just gone to McDonald's across the way!

Came in as a group of ladies tonight after leaving the Vikings (hungry horse) due to a bad food and service experience… was served by Ellis who was absolutely wonderful. She was rushed off her feet due to low staff she was the only one womanning the bar but she did an incredible job on her own, yes drinks wasn’t immediate but cocktails never are! She brought them over when made and provided a great service. She was a credit to the venue and honestly deserves a drink herself after dealing with us! Some low music would be great in the bar area but otherwise a much preferred option for some good cocktails 2 for a tenner, no rowdy drunks and a nice relaxed atmosphere for some dinner and drinks. We will be back!
