What a lovely clean tea room, with ample choice. The menu has hot and cold options which are reasonably priced. I had the vegetarian breakfast which was delicious and very filling. Others in my group had full English which was big. The sausage baguette must of been good because it was all devoured and a rather large piece of chocolate cake, which was baked and decorated on the premises. There is s wide selection of teas, coffee and soft drinks. Previously we have had a cream tea with the best scones I've ever tasted. I will definitely be returning here when I'm in the area not only for the food but also to see the lovely staff, who have made our stay in Mere a very happy one.

A really cute little coffee shop or should i say teapot shop!! Lovely food and amazing service! We called up to check there was enough room for the 2 of us and little baby, and when we arrived they had reserved us a table. The highchair was a normal comfy highchair you would have at home, not the wooden ones you get normally, which was brilliant for our little fidget. Thank you to the Lady who served us, lovely service (sorry we forgot her name!! she was wearing a pac-man top when we came to visit)

Popped in for lunch today, a cold, dry [not quite spring yet brrrr!] May day. We enjoyed a jacket potato with cheese and a tasty Thai Green Curry soup with bread, accompanied by tea and coffee. A traditional café, immaculately clean and inviting. The flat white coffee was a little weak, but the tea was plentiful and lovely. Most of all, the owner and his assistant’s welcome made us—and our dog—feel comfy. We’ll definitely be back. Lyndon, Peter, and Sandy

We dropped by Angel Corner on a gloomy Sunday with my aunt and our dogs hoping for a spot of lunch in a traditional café. Well we couldn't have been made more welcome and the service was excellent (although we were the only customers at the time).

What you'll find here is a traditional menu of sandwiches, toasties, baked potatoes and the like. Freshly made, honest food with none of the frills. On a cold day our soup, potatoes and everything else went down nicely and was very filling. Which is a shame as I would have liked to try some cake!

So if you're in the area and need somewhere to refresh then Angel Corner should hit the spot. It's also very handy that the owners allow well-behaved dogs inside as there's nothing worse than shivering outside over a rapidly...

Made a reservation the day before and after a wet and windy 5 mile walk up to White Sheet hill and back six of us and four dogs were ready for our breakfast. Although issues with WiFi today, we were warned initially it was cash only, but not a problem at all. 2 large pots of tea and some coffees were quickly on the table, swiftly followed by toast and 6 large breakfasts. Could perhaps look into doing some tastier butchers sausages, but bacon tasty and all the rest certainly very good, hot and well presented. Thanks to the young lady waitress and the kitchen team. Hope the dogs didn’t leave too much mess on the carpet. Absolutely great for a group of walking friends on a Saturday morning. Must return to try the cakes sometime. We’ll be back again...
