Great pub with a warm and friendly atmosphere, plenty of character and a pool table to boot! Good selection of lagers and ales, I went for my usual Carling. Could only stop in for one as we were passing through on business. Would highly recommend

Great pub, only recently reopened still finding their feet. But great atmosphere and good beers with friendly service.

A few weeks ago I took friends to the Bay Horse, on two separate occasions, for a meal. Both were from out of the area and had visited the pub before Dan and Gemma took over. They were pleased to find a warm welcome from staff, a roaring fire, a clean pub, serving well kept beer and well priced, delicious and filling food. As a local it is now great that you can be proud to take friends into your local pub. It's a long time since this was the case. Well done and thankyou to Dan and Gemma for...

Truth be told, We popped in here as we needed the toilet. But as I can't go into a pub without ordering a drink, we did just that. Imagine my surprise after ordering our drinks that it was "happy hour" and we got our drinks for an even better price. We then sat down down and chatted with a local couple who made us feel so welcome. As did everyone else who was in the pub. Thank you to everyone who made what should have been a "quick" stop off turn into almost an...

Lovely, welcoming pub with great food. They have a new chef who started in March 2023. Had a lovely hot roast beef sandwich for lunch which came on fresh, home-baked bread and with a delightful salad. Excellent value. They had some lovely cakes too which are available all day with teas and coffees. The pub is surrounded by amazing countryside, so it's ideal for a pit stop on your walk and your dogs are well...
