Our stay at the Bay Horse Inn in West Woodburn was fantastic. Nestled in the stunning countryside of Northumberland, this lovely country inn provided us with a perfect extended weekend.
The atmosphere at the Bay Horse Inn was warm and inviting, with a cosy ambiance that immediately made us feel welcome. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, ensuring that we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
One of the highlights of our visit was the food and drink. The inn's restaurant offered a delicious selection of dishes, made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Both breakfast and dinners were a delight. The bar also offered a wide array of drinks, including local ales and whiskies.
Our room was comfortable, providing us with a peaceful retreat at the end of each day.

Dripped in character, friendly locals, welcoming staff and was lovely to be able to sit, observe and be involved. The food was absolutely delicious, although there was no black pudding the first morning, however that was compensated by another sausage that I believe was locally sourced. The haggis was locally source too, which was really tasty. The one small thing I would say wasn't great was the first night stay was quite loud as the room we were in was above the bar, seemingly, and the music played until about 1am.. The carvery food was lukewarm apart from the mash that was hot. Red cabbage smelled like fish? Cauliflower cheese wasn't cooked still hard. Generous portion of meat. 2 x carvery 1 half of cider/black and 1 bottle of ginger beer £42
