Nice pub, pretty big inside and has an outside seating area too. Nice Canadian landlord. I've eaten the chips with cheese here many times and it's always yummy. Had a pint of Coors. Have also had dinner here and it's been tasty. They do also take reservations. Sometimes it has been odd when going for food though, one time a staff member seemed so flustered that we wanted food (at noon), that they said: people who are booked in for full dinners, who hadn't arrived, would have to place their orders first - before us - even though we were there already as paying customers. The bar and kitchen staff clearly weren't coping and taking the news of a staff shortage for the next day out on us.
We were all regulars but won't...

I feel very comfortable sitting on my own reading a book and when I take my elderly parents, they accommodate us by giving is somewhere quiet to sit when we just want to have a drink and a chat. The 'wine by the glass' options are extensive and there is excellent free wi-fi. The Blacksmiths Arms feels like a hub of the local community and is a fantastic asset...
