Visiting the area for a few days and called in, had a lovely lunch, the meat and potato pie was homemade and just like I recall my nan making. Enjoyed it so much we booked to return for Sunday lunch which was fabulous, made more so as I'd told them I had a dairy allergy and they cooked all my veg separately, such a great touch as usually I just have the offending items removed, not replaced and end up with half a meal, so big thank you. Everything was cooked beautifully and to a high end restaurant quality. The staff could not have been more helpful or friendly, nothing was too much trouble, this was with all the customers, it felt like visiting family. Read moreWhat a gem of a find. We are only recently local to the area. But worth a drive if you are further out. This was a gem to find. Beautiful walks and scenery. Fresh air, RNLI , ferry to Piel Island from March. Food was amazing, hot, tasty and fresh. Amazing selection of drinks. Didn't try the desserts as was to full. Saw some wonderful afternoon teas coming out as well. Does this place do everything.... Seems it. Also has toilet facilities, and looks like outdoor seating and takeaway.
