The Bottle and Glass in the pretty village of Picklescott close to Dorrington Shropshire is as a English pub should be very cosy. Book a evening meal looking forward to it as you do as a treat. Ordered sea bass and chicken tikka and as a treat ordered a French wine around £24.00 . Well the meals arrived firstly the sea bass was served with vegetables which should of been served with a roast dinner ie whole carrots cabbage green beans potatoes with skins on and with two sad looking fillets of fish stuck together. As the plate of food looked the only thing missing was the gravy. Tikka was better but not perfect as chicken not seasoned. As for the wine the only way to describe this is if any body has bought wine from the bottom shelf of a supermarket you will No what I mean, needless to say the wine went back. Very disappointing experience. Regards Chris H.

A super pub! A welcome as warm as the open fire. A table of 5 served well with some great service. The menu is packed with either homemade or locally sourced food over a 'light bite' or 'main menu' My choice was the homemade steak and ale pie, it was packed with meat! Absolutly magic. One of the best. Others ate - 1no nacho's to start (shared) 1no Handmade 6oz burger. 1no Scampi. 1no Steak and ale pie and 1no 3 egg omelette. Throw in drinks - 2 pints of coke, 2 pints HPA and a large Pinot. I think for location, welcome, service, homemade and where possible locally sourced ingredients, it’s super value at £107! PCB 👌🏻

Amazing rural countryside pub. Had fish and chips dish, a burger, and 2 chicken nuggets dishes including an amazing vegan free option. Images shown below the review. The food was amazing. Had ketchup with the fish and chips and it came with a spoon unlike other reastraunts, very handy if you want some on the plate instead of the pot. Drinks was lovely and tasty. Had 3 Pepsi max, one lager and one shandy. Service was friendly and fabulous. Definitely come again when I'm in the area again!

Thank you for a really enjoyable Saturday lunch for our family of 6 adults . We all had a different choice of meal and everyone was very happy with the tasty food, excellent service and drinks provided , cooked and served by the two hosts who were working on their own. The Bottle and Glass has maintained its old world charm and atmosphere and will always be a special place which are family have had the pleasure to frequent on occasion over the the last 50 plus years. We will be making it a priority to visit more often again after our very pleasurable...
