I arrived in Bedford after an 11 hour flight and a 90 minute drive from London to a building site at my brother’s with contractors a-renovating and brickies a-laying. A little jet lagged, a little tired, a lot hungry. Being awesome hosts, Sean and Al took me to their local coffee and brekkie café in Brickhill road. What started as a quiet spot, quickly livened up with all the regulars popping in for a catchup and to spill some tea. A warm and inviting place especially when the weather is gloomy and wet with colorful walls, and solid wooden tables situated in the old post office. We all tucked into a tasty hot breakfast served efficiently. My bro Sean is a bit of a coffee aficionado and his order has to be “just so”. Our barista was more than open to try it out and very patient in making sure he got the ristretto shots “just right”. With a lovely floral nose and sweet taste on our coffee we also got a tip on where to find some good beans from a local roastery. As for moi, I’m a tea pot and the strong refreshing EBT went down a treat 😁 By the way, If you need a birthday card or some gift wrapping in a hurry pop right in and look through the quite extensive selection.

We thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening. We groaned when you kept on bringing out more food to try but we managed to keep on eating… it would have been rude not to 😂 All flavours were superb and the fusion desserts were great fun and delicious. We will be delighted to support your new venture - great venue out of town with easy parking. ❤️

My first visit today for a takeaway coffee. Coffee was good, donut was light and fluffy (and very tasty). The service was quick and friendly. Overall, great! It's really nice to have somewhere local to get a decent coffee.

Took my son in the other day. The jacket potato I had was too hard for my liking, but ok. I decided to take half home for my other son (it was already in a takeaway box). My boy was half way through his sausage roll when he decided to go look at the magazines. He called me over to look at one. I was away from the table (but still in the cafe) for less than a minute and our food and FULL drinks were cleared. We asked where it was and they still had our drinks, but said the food had been binned. They said that there was no food left in the containers. (I'd have a little more respect for them if they just owned up and not tried to make an excuse with a lie). They told me they'd go sort it out and were out back for ages, just to come back and simply confirm that our food was binned. I was then offered one "complimentary" drink. I said "no thank you" and left. I'm not a confrontational person. The time I was there 2 staff members were on their phones a lot. They were all tripping over each other. And we didn't see one smile. The atmosphere was terrible and gave me anxiety! Safe to say, I will not be returning. Hopefully others' experience will be better than mine. As the cafe is a great idea for our...

This is an excellent local café, offering good everyday food at very reasonable prices. The staff are friendly and efficient and this establishment deserves all the success it has achieved. Where some establishments just sit back and vegetate, long time regular customers like my wife and I can only heartily admire the entrepreneurial attitude on show here, always looking to improve their offer. I worry that the latest venture into Greek food may not come off because the prices advertised seem unrealistic to me, but everything they have done to date has worked out well, so I must bow to their judgement. If you are looking for a neighbourhood café combining good value, pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff, you will struggle to do better, as their...
