Disappointing experience here on Christmas Eve. I ordered the fish and chips, which looked great, but as soon as I cut into the batter, I knew it wasn't cooked. The batter was too thick, and the inside was completely raw. I was reluctant to send it back as the other 5 guests were well through their meals however I was told it would only take 4 minutes to make a new one, seemed optimistic, but I said ok. It actually took closer to 10 minutes to arrive, and unfortunately the batter was as badly cooked as the first being completely raw again. Knowing we'd already sent one back you think the chef would have made sure this one was correct, but no, so I ended up having eat a few chips as my dinner (I say chips but actually they were skin on fries so wrongly described and not what should be served with fish). Overall a very disappointing meal, I think they need to retrain the chef if they are unable to make what is a staple and basic pub item. Whilst the fish wasn't charged for I think having 2 major errors meaning I couldn't eat with the rest of the group warranted slightly more attention from the management . Would stick to drinks only here.

We went to the Bunch of Carrots the three of us for Sunday Lunch. My wife and myself were staying with her sister who lives not far from the restaurant/pub. We booked Lunch for 2:30 pm the place was busy when we arrived, we were shown to a table fairly quickly. Nice decor. My wife ordered the scampi chips and peas, her sister ordered the smoked haddock salmon and prawn in a Thermidor sauce with chips and peas. I ordered the carvery. 3 glasses of wine and a jug of water. The Carvery had 3 meats Pork Beef Turkey Yorkshire pudding stuffing ball a variety of vegetables roasted potatoes and boiled spuds. I had to queue up, but not for long. In that time fresh meat and vegetables kept coming out. All hot and very tasty, as I got back to the table my wife and her sister were served their food. We all enjoyed our food, and the girls also had desserts sticky toffee pudding with cream or ice cream I was too full from the Carvery. The place was still busy but well organised. Price was reasonable for the 3 of us. We will definitely be back again in the future and more of us.

Excellent customer service from the start. Good sized carpark and in a lovely setting. Arrived without booking and were seated straight away with a pint of Butty Bach (new to me but now one of my favs). Atmosphere was great for dinning and the building is that perfect clean, low lit, old classic pub. Both my dad and I went for the carvery and the food was excellent. The meats were cooked beautifully (even the turkey, which I would usually avoid, was juicy and tasty). There is an excellent selection of veg and sides which again were fresh and as they should be. There are only a few puddings but they all look delicious and change daily, I had a salted caramel panacotta which was lovely. As we were visiting Hereford on family business and the meal had gone so well, we returned the next night with friends and were not disappointed. Good price too. Although we didn't book, we were 2 people in mid week, I imagine booking would be wise on weekends or for groups and occasions. Very good, thank you to everyone there.

This is possibly the best pub I've ever visited, and I've been to a lot!! We we're staying local for a week, read the reviews and decided to give Bunch of Carrots a try... boy I'm glad we did.

I’ve been to some cracking pubs and restaurants over the years, but I’ve never experienced customer service like I did yesterday. For the chef to notice I’d not ordered the peppercorn sauce with my sirloin steak lunch and send a waitress out to enquire why and offer a custom-made sauce was incredible. But then for the staff to really take an interest as to what I could or could not eat to make it possible, absolutely blew me away.

For my secular work, I work in quality assurance, and I like to think I am someone who appreciates quality, and I saw it everywhere I looked at the ‘bunch of carrots.’ The staff literally could not do enough for us.

I did ask the waitress who served us, to pass my thanks on to everyone involved, but I’d like to reiterate that here. It was quite simply the best service I've ever experienced, the food was amazing and the drinks were beautiful.

Please keep doing what you are doing, that was truly one of the best lunch experiences I’ve ever had.

We will definitely visit again next time...

Stopped at the Bunch of Carrotts Hampton Bishop, Hereford for a beer, travelling with my wife and our border collie 1stMay 2022. Went inside first to check that they had a bar area for drinks only and could we bring our dog in. The staff member was so welcoming and showed me where they had a table available and yes dogs welcome. I collected my wife and dog from the car and sat where I had been shown. The pub was very busy but the staff were very helpful and made us all feel welcome including Barney our Border Collie. This was his first time in a pub and we wondered how he would cope but everyone made him welcome and he immediately sat at our feet calmly. I ordered our drinks and saw what delicious food was being served at other tables, so we ordered food too. Despite how busy they were, the food arrived quite quickly and it was outstanding. I am in my seventies and have travelled widely but the steak pie was the most delicious I have ever tasted. We were staying on a caravan park nearby and are booked in again later this summer so we will definitely be back. Well done every one connected with the Bunch of Carrotts. Delicious food, friendly helpful staff and great atmosphere. Les...

Have visited in the passed and usually a good experience throughout. Our booking was for 8 people at 12 noon and we were told that the table was to be vacated by 13.45. This isn't usually a problem but we waiting in line for the carvery for half an hour, probably the fact that takeaway meals were being taken from the carvery area and appeared to have priority over the diners. My Grandaughter decided she wanted a meal other than carvery so when I recieved my meal I mentioned to a member of staff that we had another meal separate. I had to ask again when we were all sat down, this is not good when we all expected to eat together, another gripe was one of our party ordered the nut roast but when he recieved it, it was a frozen nut cutlet, a little different from the menu and well over priced for what it was, poor choice for vegetarian option. We decided on deserts and staff kept milling around the table, in the end one of the staff said sorry we need to clear the table. Yes we were over out time but no consideration was given to the delay we had to queue. As we spent a lot of money for what was a special day, I think we will take our business somewhere...
