cannot fault this lovely little cafe on the beach, lovely staff, absolutely beautiful food, the beef stack was unbelievably tasty, I could of eaten another… not because it wasn’t enough but because it was SO SO SO GOOD!! Absolutely worth the price!! It’s the kind of food that makes you go MMMMMMMMmmmmm at every bite! Will 100% be returning (probably tomorrow!!) I would also like to say a massive thankyou to the staff for all their hard work and dedication to their job! Also love that it is dog friendly and they have biscuits on hand for our furbabies!!

Cracking! It's a great draw to a beautiful beach, and with the castle too, it's part of a good day out. I only had a coffee but there were fantastic looking pizzas coming out of the oven, and the rest of the menu was good for foodies. It's not cheap but it's good and the setting is superb. The vibe was chilled even though it was quite busy, and there was live music. For some reason they couldn't do a cappuccino today but they didn't explain why. Presumably the machine was out of order. I paid more than £4 for a white coffee and a Kit Kat.

Lovely little beach cafe which serves fantastic home made snacks. We had slow cooked pulled pork and falafel burger, both served with home made coleslaw and chilli jam on delicious focacia rolls and fries - absolutely delicious. It's a lovely place to take a break

Be VERY Careful. Parking here is subject to a charge despite the appearance the field is a sort of pop up shack place. We made the mistake of stopping off here for an overpriced lunch and after waiting 45 minutes to order and another 15 to get served, we ate our food and left.

Then just over a month later get a debt collection letter from an agency saying we'd not paid to park and we had to pay £170 or risk going to court and a CCJ.

What was an expensive lunch turned into an infuriating exploitation of a now furious holidaymaker.

It's a shame the land owners determine that the money they make from the food isn't nearly enough, the signage isn't more obvious and the employees don't make a point of telling you to avoid disappointment later.

Would have been a 1 but the pulled pork was not...

We called in on Sunday 2nd October and had a really good experience...... great Pastie, Vegan Pastie and lovely coffees. Returned today (Friday 7th October) to find it was closed ! This was despite online searches showing it was "Open" and that the Friday opening hours were 11am to 4 pm !! Sooooo frustrating! And we weren't the only ones surprised that it was closed.

The online connections need to be amended (and 'joined up') to reflect the cafe's true opening hours / season etc. and it would be good if the latest information could be displayed on some sort of notice board outside. That way people would be in no doubt about what the situation was !

Rant /...

We popped down to our favourite beach at Porthluney for an entertainment evening after a day touring the South Coast of Cornwall. Expecting live music, we were surprised to find 2 female comedians as support acts. Both were very good once we moved seats to hear better. The main act was also a good comedian so a good laugh all round. The cafe did brisk business and food was served quickly and was tasty. Weather was good - a lovely evening on/by the beach. Well done Caerhays Estate, many more please. There were probably 200 visitors enjoying the show - a mixture of locals and holidaymakers from all over - even a few from...
