You don't have to be a cyclist to eat here but it's possibly thanks to the legions of hungry cyclists that this place has a good trade. I remember when the cafe opened back in the mid 90's as an attempt to save the village hall, back then I was a regular club cyclist and this place soon became a regular stop though more in the autumn/winter months. The summer would see us heading further afield. My cycling became curtailed by family life but eventually, with more time to myself, I got back out on the bike again and found myself heading here one Sunday in 2016. To my delight very little had changed (I think they moved the counter 90 degrees). Quirky decor with loads of local memorabilia, great friendly service and a decent range of quality and tasty food.
