Meal at the Carodin Inn as always, super, well cooked, hot and served in time without having to wait. Menu is sufficient to satisfy all needs. Very welcoming staff. Will be returning 3 course Christmas Lunch 2023 was the best we have had for years. So much good food that it was necessary for a break between main and desert. Excellent quality and value . Well done Sarah and Alan

What a great village community pub. I was cycling past the pub, heard the music from the garden then decided to get refreshments. This place is really close to Minions where there used to be an active pub. Very friendly regular customers and staff, well priced beer and good quality food. Next time I pass by I'll definitely drop in. Thanks for everything.

First visit & it was lovely. 5 of us plus A small dog. I personally started with a breaded garlic cream mushrooms, followed by a garlic & honey breaded chicken. Portions were huge but so good & moorish. Wine was so moorish too. Staff friendly & welcoming. Thank you. Recommend 100%.

Despite the sign outside declaring that this is the best place in the area for lunch, I would advise differently. Three of us called today (Thursday) bought drinks and ordered a Haddock, chips and peas; a Lasagne and a Gammon, Egg, Grilled Pineapple slice and chips. There was only a family of 4 and us . . . I was informed that they had no eggs (WHAT?) so they couldn't give me Gammon, Egg and Pineapple. I asked for an extra slice of pineapple instead. Sorted! 15 minutes later, a very nervous young man came through from the kitchen, apologising profusely and explained that he was a trainee, the 2nd Chef wasn't present so my friend couldn't have the fish dinner; instead he could have a free dessert . . . They had fish, but he wasn't allowed to cook it. Absolutely unbelievable! What sort of place opens for lunches, advertise themselves as serving the best lunches in the area yet has no qualified chef available, no waitresses, just two young men to run the bar and the kitchen? The web page makes the Caradon Inn sound like a truly special place - but we will...

An overused phrase but this is a hidden gem! The host Sarah is the most welcoming landlady ever! Her partner Alan is an incredible Chef! The FOOD (omg), service, welcome and drinks were all out of this world. Our only disappointment was not being able to try more dishes (honestly!). If you’re in the area please please please try it out. If you’re there on a Sunday you will kick yourself if you don’t try their roast...

Apparently under new ownership, this well-known pub is trying to re-establish itself after being closed for a while. New owners intend to have a fully stocked bar and to reintroduce food in the near future, however opening hours need to be checked before turning up. At the present time, beers consist of Doom Bar, and Skinner's Betty Stoggs; Guinness, two ciders and four lagers...
