Chillies Bangladeshi & Indian Restaurant — Restaurant in England

Very Disappointing! Ignored us for most of the night.

Large group of us went, drinks order was taken pretty sharpish. Poppadoms were ordered shortly after the drink arrived but then things took a down turn. Food order was not taken until after the popadom plates were cleared (1 hr in). 3 of us had starters which took a further 30min or so to arrived (1 hour 30 in the restaurant for 3 starters!) Then we waited...and waited. After we had been in the restaurant for just over 2 hours we asked where the food was. We were told the food had been delayed because of the starters which were finished ages ago.

Again we waited and asked again. Eventually after been sat at the table for 3 hours (!) the food arrived, some of it was cold and 1 was sent back. After 3.5 minutes the cold dish reappeared warmed up. We were told it was a freshly prepared dish. When asked why were we kept waiting for 3 hours for a dish they can prepare in 3min they didn't give an adequate answer. Throughout the whole evening we were ignored (large table in the center of the small room) and it took another 30min after we had finished the meal for the bill to arrive. We did complain and a small amount was knocked off the bill, it equated to 50p discount each. We spent £20 per person so hardly worth...

We have been coming to this wonderful restaurant for many years, as a couple or with the whole family. We have always been made most welcome. My husband and I went for our anniversary meal on the 6/6/24 the food was absolutely gorgeous as always.

I had veg pakoras as my starter, then chicken makon with pilau rice, my husband had chicken tikka starter then chicken balti with rice and a naan bread, we had poppadoms as an appetiser.

It was all cooked to perfection, smelt and tasted wonderful. The customer service is perfect, lovely friendly staff, nothing is ever a trouble. We highly recommend this authentic Bangladeshi and Indian restaurant in the heart of our village of Banwell every time to everyone. Thank you so much for making our evening very special. The prices are also extremely reasonable we had the Thursday special starter and main menu at £16.95 each and added a few extras. Service was shocking, the waitress on arrival just pointed to where our table was, we sat, and the restaurants card machine was not working so the only other table occupied were asked to get cash from half a mile away, the waiter came to us asking us to pay as soon as we'd ordered, still the machine didn't work, whilst we were eating for the third time he came back to request the card again, even requesting that he take our card away and note the CVV number and seemed surprised when told not. Eventually the card machine was working so the waiter came back requesting payment in the middle of our main course. Just wrecked the experience of eating out, will at least say the food was great, but honestly guys learn how to run service or stick to takeaway. Will never bother to...
