China Garden — Restaurant in England

We turned up around 10 minutes before the place opened and the staff were happy to let us in instead of having to wait outside.

The menu has a good range of food to choose from. The prices we thought were fair and the portion size was very good.

We could not park inside the car park as it was full so we parked on the road outside near the pub.

Everything was cooked fresh and came very quickly. We did not have to wait long for anything which was a nice bonus. The staff are very friendly. They accept contactless payments which was nice also.

I would highly recommend eating here if you wanted a nice Chinese at a good price. Also I would highly recommend salt and pepper...

If I could give this place 10 stars then I would. Don't be put off by the exterior of the building. We avoided eating here for 12 years because we judged the book by its cover. But when another restaurant that we were going to visit turned out to be closed, we looked at the reviews for the chi-nar garden and were pleasantly surprised. The venue is upstairs so it could be difficult for those less mobile. However once we entered the upstairs restaurant we found it to be most pleasantly presented. The food was top notch and the service was excellent from friendly staff. It was also very reasonably priced. We will be going there again for definite....

Had the most delicious £18 banquet, can honestly say that everything was cooked to perfection. Great selection of food and they didn’t even mind us changing the main course. We actually ended up taking half the main home because we were so full!! I only wish we’d visited this place sooner. Really is a hidden gem and must have been open for about 20 years?
