Lovely little tearoom with simple menu does the job and quick food service. Needs separate card machine for both parts to speed up queuing times at events and someone making sure your guests have a place to eat. Little bit annoyed at customers still sitting at picnic benches eating there own food when people that brought food have to stand when there's a massive sign, should have been asked to move by the management. I'm a manager at at simular venue and would be asking such customers to move on.

Lovely little cafe here serving made to order sandwiches, jacket potatoes, toasties, cakes and hot/cold drinks. Have to say that the cappuccino and latte we had were the best we’ve tasted!! 👍👍

Beautifull summers day at the plant fair held at the castle and walking through the exceptional gardens.

Dismal experience I'm sorry to say. We stopped off at the cafe for lunch before we left the gardens, which had been a lovely morning out with the kids. We paid almost £50 for four sandwiches and some drinks. We were told some items were unavailable, but we could still have the order without them. This was not accounted for in our bill however and we paid £9.35 for an egg mayo sandwich (no cress available) and £13.95 for a ploughman's (no pies available). When the food did arrive it was extremely poor quality. The cheese and ham had a plastic like flavour as though they came from a packet, the coleslaw and salad tasted soapy, the egg mayo had no flavour at all and the brown bread was stale and overly sweet. Neither my wife or daughter could eat more than one bite of their meal. There was a dog running around in the food prep area and there was dog food on the floor which...

Attended the plant & gardens fare where most folk & coach parties will have been pre-booked for this one-day event. The Tea Rooms seemed to be suprisingly swamped by too few staff fighting a losing battle with the numbers attending and totally Ill-prepared for the foreseeable demand. Nearly an hour to be served and most things were sold out by 1pm. One member of staff had to halt people joining the queue. Planning - what planning? Could have been...
