Update... We went back to give it a second chance & even then that was just as bad as the time before! Hunters chicken had no bacon or BBQ sauce, it was just chicken and cheese, missed another side and drinks yet again took more than 30 minutes.

We eat here sometimes & have never had a bad meal, that is until today. We arrived just before 16:30 & didnt leave until 18:45. Drinks took more than 20 minutes to come, My partner asked for chicken in his curry, he didn't get it, one of my sides were missing off my plate, we asked for plain mac and cheese and pop corn chicken for my step son, that came with crispy onions and bbq sauce. We sent it back, so a fresh one could be cooked & no popcorn chicken came back. We were then waiting for well over 30 minutes for our desserts, even then the childs brownie came out with ice cream after we asked for it plain, whilst people arriving & ordering after us had their meals first. The bar manager then blamed the new staff team for the disastrous meal. Which, is no excuse! We had 20% off the meal, but it doesn't make up for it being my partners birthday & completely ruined the evening! I wouldn't usually complain so much, but tonight really...

Large party catered for. Food was great, service exceptional. They even produced meals not on the menu adapting them to help with special diets. Attentive but not intrusive. Highly recommend. Some of our party were in wheelchairs but that wasn't a problem, space was quickly and efficiently made. Options given to pay as a group or even individual bills had we needed them. We had booked this earlier as we knew such a large group can cause issues in a busy kitchen. Everyone was warm and welcoming. Yes we will be back but in smaller groups as this was a special occasion. Thank you to all the lovely staff for making our day special.

Outside there is a nice garden for children and a shaded seated area. Plenty of parking including 2 disabled bays.

The pub has wide accessible access. The large windows have blinds you can adjust to suit the weather. Seating is comfy and spaced to make it cosy. The menu is varied and caters for dietary needs. All the food we had was tasty and served hot. I have been there at lunch time and enjoyed their light lunches too. If you haven't visited for a while you will be surprised at the improvements that have been made. Staff are also open to...

Nice to be offered choice of 3 places to sit - not always possible as can be busy. Very warm inside. Our waitress was very friendly, but over the top in answering "my lovely" after every question/ request. Very good menu selection plus the specials board - maybe a bit too much choice! Very limited salad selection if you only want a life bite lunch. I choose the garlic & rosemary lamb steak & requested new potatoes & salad instead of skin in fries, half a grilled tomato & onion rings - I had a nice lamb steak no garlic or rosemary flavouring though, New potatoes were nice came with 2 pats of butter . Grilled tomato bearly grilled quite raw, didn't cut core of tomato out, no salad just handful up of rocket in the middle of my plate - asked for my salad - received a tiny dish with what i guess is a garnish - asked for some salad cream or mayo - no could only do salad dressing which was nice. All in all ok, but not the nicest of meals I have had there. Was offered desserts menu, but nothing was overly appealling, all very sweet sounding. Came away...
