BEST FINE INDIAN MODERN DINING EXPERIENCE WITH WORLD CLASS HOSPITALITY ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We visited as a family to celebrate a 30th birthday. We always come to Coco Tamarind to mark any special occasion as it is guaranteed to be a wonderful night and this time was no different - perhaps the best time we have had there!
It was especially nice to return to Coco after so many lockdowns - we have enjoyed many takeaways during this time as the food is unbeaten, but there’s nothing like the hospitality offered and so to be looked after so wonderfully again was really welcome and much appreciated. We missed this!!!
Rony & the team greeted us all with a smile - as though we were returning to friends. He made every effort to thoroughly explain the menu and generously offer us anything we like. He made well thought recommendations and answered questions. There was an extensive set menu of poppadoms, a large mixed starter (samosa, pakora, bahji for vegetarians, or plus meat tandoori), a curry of choice (we had a mix of meat, fish, vegetable, paneer options), rices, naans and side vegetables (a selection was suggested to us). The food was of top quality, freshly prepared and all very delicious. Alongside the exceptional service, Coco stands out as the best at creating delicious and varied fine Indian cuisine that is not matched elsewhere. We do not bother with other Indian restaurants since coming to Coco Tamarind because they do not come close. There was more food than we could possibly eat (we would order less next time to avoid any wasting), and so we were kindly allowed to take plenty away. All of this scrumptious food including plenty of drinks came to around £30-35 per person, which is unbelievable value for money!
To top off what was already a fantastic dining experience and celebration, Rony managed to pull a decorated birthday cake (photo attached) out of the bag at the last minute with no prior warning which was a really heartwarming touch and much appreciated by us all The whole team were singing and smiling making it feel a real group celebration. We were then generously gifted plenty of chocolates and drinks on the house which is a really nice touch we were all grateful for.
We are always very very very well looked after by Rony and the team, with such warmth, friendliness and generosity. They go out of their way to make you feel special and it keeps you coming back. Look no further for a brilliant menu, delicious food and outstanding hospitality. Thank you so much to Rony and his team for making our evening so special - it is so good...
Read moreI have been to CoCo Tamarind many times, but I think my this visit is the LAST visit to this restaurant. As originally from Mumbai, India; I can vouch that the food is NOT authentic at all. However, something with Asian taste to it for people who want a change of cuisine. This visit with my friends has been very disappointing. It took them 1hr 20mins to just take the order!!?! There was so much delay and hurrying going on at the restaurant. I saw many other customers were also waiting. Waiters were getting annoyed and passing angry comments to each other in their regional language!!?! It was not a very good environment to have food. I had my 7yr old boy with me. Due to all the delay in taking the order then delay in bringing the food made my son get a little bored. As any child would do he was getting off his chair and casually stretching his legs beside the table. The waiter asked me "Is he bored"? I said "yes".. to that the waiter made a joke saying "he can then come and wash some dishes inside"!!?! I got really annoyed and felt awkward sitting there and hearing such a ridiculous comment passed from this waiter. It's not necessary for anyone and everyone should have a sense of humour he has!!?! I found that kind of comment very disrespectful and demeaning. The waiter can make himself and his whole generation/family to be dish cleaning staff in that pathetic restaurant. He has no rights whatsoever to say anything he feels like. With no hair on his head, guess he has lost some brains also I suppose!!?! I personally won't recommend any families to visit this restaurant if you want a peaceful and authentic 'Indian' food. And if at all you go there make sure you understand some of their regional language they speak out of frustration ...they might be saying it towards some of...
Read moreI'm so happy...I've been eating curries since the first Curry restaurant opened in High Wycombe in 1970 and I've enjoyed a nice curry ever since, but over the last few years all the curry restaurants in High Wycombe have gone downhill in my estimation to the point of not going out for a curry or having a takeaway for a couple of years...I'd rather not waste my money. HOWEVER, this evening I met up with a friend who suggested meeting for a curry at the Coco Tamarind, Aylesbury Road, Askett, Princes Risborough. I was not expecting anything good...but how wrong was I!!! The staff are friendly and attentive, the restaurant is elegant with a cosy, comfortable atmosphere, the food is spectacularly delicious (I enjoy hot curries, but the flavour still comes through, the cost was reasonable considering the quality and to top everything off the toilets are clean and have some nice feminine touches...they've thought of everything. The complimentary drink, chocolates and rose at the end concluded a wonderful, all round dining experience. Thank you, Coco Tamarind...I will be...
