Absolutely brilliant! Great food (delicious parmo), great chips - cooked perfectly, beautiful cod... Very clean, nice staff, reasonably priced. Fantastic selection on the menu. Five minute walk from the beach. There's table seating on the small terrace, but it could do with a couple of indoor tables - you know, for when the weather is less than perfect.

We always come here when we go to the beach at Crimdon. Really excellent fish and chips. Today the batter was a bit soggy but that was a one off, it's usually perfect. They don't take cards for info.

Good quality fish and chips … Quick service with reasonable price … Only 2 outdoor tables available to sit but most people just do take away and eat in the car …

Just had the most DELICIOUS takeaway from here! We are currently staying at Crimdon Dene & wanted to try decent local fish & chips & weren’t disappointed. The two gents & lady working in the shop were lovely to deal with, even though I had to nip across the road to Morrisons to get cash out, they kept my order on their till ready to put through when I got back. We ordered large cod (£7), cod bites (£3.80), XL portion of chips (£3.75), 2 sausage in batter (around £2 each) and a large curry sauce (£1.50ish) and every single bit of our order was yummy! The large cod is HUMUNGOUS (we actually all ended up having a bit, hubby didn’t even mind 🤣) and the sausages in batter were perfect… juicy, batter was crispy but not rock hard & everything but the curry sauce was cooked to order so it was fresh & piping hot.

We go home in 3 days and I’m already planning on a trip back before we leave!

Thank you all so much, as we stay in Crimdon when visiting family up here, we will...

Visiting the area from the North West and went last night not overly impressed. Fish was greasy and the whole meal just tasted bland. The food wasnt even hot even though they prepped infront of me. Spent £19 on food and then when I asked for a couple or red sauce sachets for my little lads tea, the lady said you havent ordered any. Might be me being old fashioned but genuinely thought when in a takeaway or chippy these sachets were complimentary. 45p for a sachet!! Had to go back the car and get some money out and go back in again. Bit embarrasing having to ask if i had to pay for sauce in front of a couple of people in the shop. Visit the area yearly and went last year on Good Friday and were disappointed then too. Will give it a miss...

We were staying at Crimdon Dene Caravan Park and drove past at lunchtime. We ordered a fish and chips and code bites and chips came to about £20 and was cooked to order. They do not have a card machine neither have to scan a QR code and put card details in online. Staff were not very friendly neither. Though, the portion size was humongous and would definitely have fed 4 people. However, the food was not up to standard and was very greasy. We didn't eat much of it due to being so greasy, my partner is not usually fussy but didn't finish the fish and the grease from the batter went onto the chips and spoiled those too. So yes, price and portion good but wouldn't return or recommend as...
