Thankyou Team for such a lovely week at colliford tavern camping, we are a family of 5 and had an electric hook up turnt up early on the off chance to see If we could get cracking to set up Our tent, we were supported by the team and luckily our pitch was available early thanks so much team, the showers and toilets where always clean and cleaners in and out throughout the day constantly cleaning, if people are trailing tree needles and mud in and out what do they expect, there was always toilet roll and the staff are very helpful and keen to support you.

The food was also fabulous we paid for 5 meals and few pints each and puddings all delicious 3 times in the week well Worth the money,

Kids loved the little play area and games rooms making friends running around in the forest area, the team never complained kids having fun and very relaxed week, the lake makes this a beautiful place to visit in itself also, the team are working hard to make this place wonderful again you can clearly see that,

I'm not sure what people expect from a camping site to me it was brilliant and well worth the money, we will definitely be visiting again next year and look forward to seeing all the team😊

Close enough to travel to St Ives, Newquay daily if wished, high cliff, checkington haven, Boscastle, Bodmin Town and...

Liked: The views were lovely and the staff were friendly and helpful. It felt like camping in an actual moors but with the luxury of electric!

Disliked: We can not comment on the hotel itself, the pods or the restaurant facilities as we did not use these. We saw the reviews and thought we would give the place the benefit of the doubt, however the site was run down as said in previous reviews, there is some lovely potential like a little garden area that is just overgrown. The views and the whole forest like feel was lovely! The toilets were very unclean and covered in bugs and spider webs which I fully understand you’re going to get bugs but not to this extent if kept clean daily. The showers were cracked and dirty too. I kind of liked seeing sheep but at the same time they were noisy and woke us up early hours of the morning and the sheep poo was just insane! I’ve read somewhere that new owners may of taken over the site, I just fully believe with a bit of time and a-lot of money spent on the place and cleaners either trained or replaced or maybe given more hours this place would be such a lovely place to stay! It definitely wasn’t the worst place to stay but unless a lot of the comments made about the state of the place is addressed we won’t be staying again.l...

Liked: Taking our own essentials and toilet !! Not having to rely on campsite facilities The walk to the lake seeing the sheep, lambs walking around MR fox appeared The birds tweeting Having BBQ and camp fire outside the tent Drinking water Taps around the campsite Meeting new people

Disliked: The 3 female toilets were dirty, no lock on one of the doors toilet paper was non existent or wet (Take your own) female shower was dirty and having to keep pushing hot water button was annoying No cold tap or button tiles on floor coming out of shower slippery Sinks had no plugs and push taps Disabled toilet dirty no paper hand towels Shower door dirty, inside shower dirty Sink and surround was dirty Male toilets dirty No toilet paper shower dirty Chemical disposal had stinging nettles in so had to step around and on nettles The tap to wash out toilet out was high up and had No hose so water went everywhere Rubbish left by other people on campsite Restaurant only served chicken or lamb curry boiled or pilla rice (No chips No popadoms) Service was very slow No shop,No path to lake Sloping pitches tree twigs and branches sheep poo,fox poo,dog poo on pitches Very busy bank holiday jubilee and very noisy after...

Nice rooms, lots of dust but clean bedding and bathroom, comfortable beds. very cold room only had a small oil heater and bathroom freezing. Not much choice for drinks and all cans sold were £2.50 and said not to be sold separately! The food was really nice but lack of choice (sold out). The restaurant was really cold, no heating on. Lovely area and views. Main door to rooms also had to be left open all night as couldn't be opened with our keys (could lock bedroom door) cheap overnight stay but wouldn't wsnt to be there longer in winter.

This one was only I could stay overnight in busy summer holiday on my emergency situation at work. Run by lovely guys campsite and tavern hide in the woods with lake view. Owner was kind and friendly, opened kitchen for me after hours and prepared early breakfast. Spent night in caravan which was good enough, comfy and clean. The only issue - shower cold water ...refreshing but not pleasant.

NOT OPEN FOR BUISNESS DO NOT BOOK THIS CAMPSITE OR RESTAURANT! Booked through pitch up for 2 nights. Arrived just to be told they are not open for business neither are the facilities so we booked somewhere else. Took it up with pich up then the campsite started claiming they are open and changed the google hours to open so now the campsite is refusing to refund us £60 for 2 nights stay.
