Thankyou Team for such a lovely week at colliford tavern camping, we are a family of 5 and had an electric hook up turnt up early on the off chance to see If we could get cracking to set up Our tent, we were supported by the team and luckily our pitch was available early thanks so much team, the showers and toilets where always clean and cleaners in and out throughout the day constantly cleaning, if people are trailing tree needles and mud in and out what do they expect, there was always toilet roll and the staff are very helpful and keen to support you.
The food was also fabulous we paid for 5 meals and few pints each and puddings all delicious 3 times in the week well Worth the money,
Kids loved the little play area and games rooms making friends running around in the forest area, the team never complained kids having fun and very relaxed week, the lake makes this a beautiful place to visit in itself also, the team are working hard to make this place wonderful again you can clearly see that,
I'm not sure what people expect from a camping site to me it was brilliant and well worth the money, we will definitely be visiting again next year and look forward to seeing all the teamð

Read moreLiked: The views were lovely and the staff were friendly and helpful. It felt like camping in an actual moors but with the luxury of electric!
Disliked: We can not comment on the hotel itself, the pods or the restaurant facilities as we did not use these. We saw the reviews and thought we would give the place the benefit of the doubt, however the site was run down as said in previous reviews, there is some lovely potential like a little garden area that is just overgrown. The views and the whole forest like feel was lovely! The toilets were very unclean and covered in bugs and spider webs which I fully understand youâre going to get bugs but not to this extent if kept clean daily. The showers were cracked and dirty too. I kind of liked seeing sheep but at the same time they were noisy and woke us up early hours of the morning and the sheep poo was just insane! Iâve read somewhere that new owners may of taken over the site, I just fully believe with a bit of time and a-lot of money spent on the place and cleaners either trained or replaced or maybe given more hours this place would be such a lovely place to stay! It definitely wasnât the worst place to stay but unless a lot of the comments made about the state of the place is addressed we wonât be staying again.l...
