Cooplands - Eats and Seats — Restaurant in England

I will never go here again. Firstly, all pasties and pies are cold. I understand not being allowed to use microwaves, but why can’t they keep some in a warmer for those who want to eat in? Secondly, the table we sat at was dirty, so I used the cloth and cleaning spray left out and then dried the table with a napkin. The cloth was left filthy from the table, and the napkin was so dirty after drying the table “cleaned” with said cloth I actually took a photo. No plates etc were given to those of us eating in, simply a paper bag. A young girl came to clean the 2 tables next to us when they were vacated so I informed her that she would need a clean cloth as it was dirty after I used it. She completely ignored me and half wiped the middle of the tables, but not the complete surface. Then, she was asked to serve, and walked straight behind the counter and handled food without washing her hands. I spoke to the duty manager about it when I went to the toilet where she was filling up toilet rolls and cleaning, who said she was very sorry and would deal with it. Finally, just to add insult to injury, and after I told her that filth in any form was not acceptable in a food outlet, she too went back behind the counter to serve food without washing her hands!!!!!! Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable from any member of staff in any customer facing role, but especially when handling food. Eat here at...

Very slow service, always a cue. Unpleasant staff who mumble and walk off to do something else before serving me. (Or any one) Today I bought a bacon sandwich,I was really hungry so ate it quickly. Halfway through it I found mold on the bread. Went back and waited by the staff entrance. A young man said (yea what cana a do fo ya) I showed him the mold on the bread, he just half heartedley said sorry. What me made me laugh was he locked the gate in a hurry.?????? I turned my back so other customers couldn't hear me. And said "it wasn't good enough", and I asked if there was supposed be a some sort of quality control? You know check to for this sort of thing before giving it to a customer? Asked if wanted another one or a refund. With a mumbled excuse about moisture???? I'm very poor. Called in the other day killing time waiting for MOT. " coffees ordered ......Quiet but took 0ver 5 mins to be ready. Lots of buzzing noises from presumably the ovens? Staff ok , coffee absolutely not nice at all considering i thought they had gone to Kenya to grind fresh beans!! Tables were covered in cups, cans crumbs, carpet covered in crumbs , not one member of staff cleared any tables in the hour and a hald we were there!!!! Went to toilets, presumed one was out of order as locked for ages . Used the gents, was filthy for a food establishment . Urine well engrained behind the seat, very un appealing. Staff here need a shake up or better manager to make them appreciate how nice this place could be with a bit of effort. will not return for...
