Cornhill Village Shop & Post Office — Restaurant in England

My Hubby and I have been using this lovely shop since moving up Northumberland 10 years ago. Their homemade produce include the best quiche, try the breakfast one! Since being diagnosed with coeliac desease it's been wonderful that they make homemade scones that are delicious, and supply the best gluten free bread that I've ever had. Proper uncut farmhouse style loaf that even Hubby thought was great. Popped into a hot oven for a few minutes to crisp up the crust and it is perfect. Great shop with everything the traveller needs amd good fresh food area. Rude ignorant staff though! I was in today and there were 6 pink polo shirted women on the counter and I stood for 5 minutes waiting to be served after I'd stood in big lunchtime queue. Not one of them asked what I wanted. They refreshed supplies, made sandwiches and chatted - everything but serve the one customer waiting - me! I was about to walk out when one asked 'can I help you?"......very annoying. Ladies that work in there are super friendly and helpful. Most of there stuff is baked by the ladies and made on premises which in itself is awesome. They do some really delicious rolls, quiches, pies, cakes, traybakes. In the fridge section there is meals already made up such as macaroni cheese, stovies. Fresh, clean. They also have a section with candles, plaques, little nitty bits. I especially love the gonks 😆 lovely little village shop. Definitely...
