Costa Coffee Ellesmere Port DT — Restaurant in England

Ordered one hot drink at speaker. A plain medium latte. The only drink I ever buy in Costa. Given 3 different prices at window £3.75 /£3.25 / £3.20 and still given the wrong drink. On questioning price, having already had the exact change out ready for my usual drink (£2.75). I was given attitude, and thrust a chai latte I didn't order. So because I wanted the drink I had in fact ordered I was made to wait at payment window while a completely new drink was made. Much to there annoyance. I had ordered my drink correctly, I had the correct change to pay and opted to use the drive through for quickness and convenience. How was I in the wrong here! After being finally given the correct drink. I was met with a tut and a huff when asking for sugar. A coffee barista, I would have thought possesses the greatest knowledge in their subject/industry. Why would you give white sugar for coffee?? To say not the greatest of experience, is an understatement. Good manners...

Went today on a hot day (11 May 2025), sat outiside where it was clean, ordered dragon fruit and guava cold drink, the strawberry one and a tiramasu cold drink, the strawberry and dragon fruit drinks the young lady made but didnt add ice, so initially we sip the drinks and it tastes rank room temperature. When i go back inside, the lady is looking at me like what now, i tell her if she could put ice in both, and without apology, she adds ice to both and i ask for straws which the young guy gives, and he was the most customer service orientated staff, very pleasant and wanting to help,shout out to you. Very nice place to have coffee or any other drinks with some cake or snacks, but today was very different from usual nice calm Sunday afternoon, arrived 14:30 for coffee and they have been already doing cleaning, especially one member of staff was really enjoying vacuuming for long 45 minutes and the noise was absolutely unbearable and so annoying, yes I understand they want to clean before they close , because they are not paid to stay and do cleaning, but starting 3 hours earlier before they close the place is not nice at all.
