Costa Coffee — Restaurant in England

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding the service my family and I received during our recent visit to your establishment in the on Tuesday, 27 May 2025, between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM.

During our visit, we encountered two female staff members who were unwelcoming and displayed unfriendly expressions throughout our interaction. My parents, who were visiting from abroad, felt especially uncomfortable and saddened by the treatment we received. They also noticed a clear difference in how we were treated compared to local customers, which left a very negative impression. This was their first unpleasant experience in the UK, and it was quite disheartening.

Additionally, we observed one of the employees doing her nails during her shift, which raised concerns about hygiene and professionalism. We believe this kind of behavior does not reflect the standards expected in a reputable business.

We kindly request that you look into this matter perhaps by reviewing the CCTV footage from that timeframe and take appropriate steps to address the issue. We hope you will take this feedback seriously and provide proper guidance and training to your staff to ensure better customer service...

Rude staff. Don’t stop here. Not worth the hassle to buy food. Condescending tone, dirty looks, whispers to colleagues about ‘what’s wrong’, raised voice/shouting at me when addressing me, all because I didn’t know the combo deals and where to order.

Help the customer, don’t treat them like dirt on your shoe. If you don’t want to be behind the counter, leave.

Then when I addressed her attitude and tone she proceeded to claimed she couldn’t hear me any longer. She could hear fine when I placed the order.

Again, not worth the hassle. Didn’t go in to fall out with someone when ordering a sandwich and a hot chocolate.

Nice clean shop , plenty parking , clean toilets , suitable for disabled , there's a nice little outdoor area in the back , all facilities are on the ground floor . Inside the shop there isn't much seating but the outdoor area has much more . When we arrived a woman was washing the floor , couldn't see any other staff until we reached the counter then 2 younger woman arrived , one came to serve us and she was pleasant but didn't prepare our cold drinks the way it should have been done , as I was about to complain the shop get quite busy and I couldn't get near the counter so we decided to leave , I wont use THIS...
