This place has sadly gone downhill. It used to be a family favourite. The bowing is still great (though our lane was switched off 3 minutes early… which is a lot when you’re trying to beat the other team!!) The staff at the desk were above and beyond lovely. I really couldn’t fault them. Kind, friendly and accommodating. But the food was just grotty! Everything was overcooked and when we asked for the gluten free options (which you’d think would be quite common these days) we were given a very short list… ‘small fish and chips’, chips, or cheesy chips. Not even the offer of any vegetables which would be gluten free. That was a big disappointment, but she didn’t really miss out, as the food was so awful anyway. A member of staff came over to ask how our food was, but as one person began to respond, she walked away without listening!! We were having a great catch up between 2 families so didn’t want to make a fuss so just laughed it off. We then headed to the games room, where the shooting lane used to be. It was freezing cold and lifeless, more machines to win toys (or not) and 2 uneven pool tables to attempt to play a game. Only 2 cues so we had to wait for another family to finish playing their game. The air hockey was great! All in all a very mediocre experience, which is not how it used to be. Lovely, friendly staff, but everything else a bit of a let down. We didn’t say anything at the time as we were there for a good catch up with old friends, but it’s definitely worth an honest review

We first came here on holiday three years ago on a whim. We had an amazing meal. Our little one was two at the time and she had such a good time running up and down the corridors giggling her head off. We literally just got back from another evening of skittles and food, and it's just every bit as amazing as we remember. The owners are very friendly, the place is looked after so well. There's board games to choose from, pool tables, machines. It's just an absolute joy to visit. The meals are amazing also, whoever is cooking in the kitchen deserves an amazing pat on the back. The steaks are beautiful, the burgers are sublime. The puddings even more so. As long as you are open, we will continue to come back everytime we are down here on holiday.

booked in advance. worst service staff clearly contemplating which one to come over to our table. when served drinks left the trey on our table . asked a young girl with long black hair for a word and she rolled her eyes at me and walked away the chicken was pink and when i said politely about it the staff gathered behined the bar and made me and my friends feel so uncomfortable. we waited a long time for the bowling we had already paid for and had 20minutes to bowl. overall the worst service, the staff were making middle fingers at eachother across the room while children are having meals . never again spent £25 on raw chicken and 20 minute bowling. no refund .

It is a family-friendly entertainment center located in Somerset, England, that offers a range of indoor and outdoor activities and attractions for visitors of all ages. The center is located in the village of Holford and is situated within the Quantock Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty.

The indoor activities at Country Skittles include a 10-pin bowling alley, laser tag arena, arcade games, and pool tables. The bowling alley features six lanes and is equipped with state-of-the-art scoring systems, while the laser tag arena is a multi-level, black-lit maze that is popular with both children and adults.

The outdoor activities at Country Skittles include a mini-golf course, a nine-hole skittles alley, and a children's play area. The mini-golf course is an 18-hole course with a countryside theme, featuring obstacles and challenges such as water features and windmills. The skittles alley is a traditional game that is popular in the UK and is similar to bowling.

The restaurant at Country Skittles serves classic British fare, such as fish and chips, burgers, and pies, as well as a range of appetizers and desserts. The bar offers a selection of beers, wines, and cocktails, as well as non-alcoholic drinks for children.

Overall, Country Skittles is a fun and affordable entertainment option for families and groups in Somerset, with a range of activities and attractions to choose from and a friendly and...

Had a mid-week evening meal in March for 25 parents and students from a local secondary school and American visitors on an exchange trip. We were able to pre-order all the meals. The service was excellent, nothing was too much trouble. The food was piping hot and everyone had been served within 3 or 4 minutes of the first plates coming out. The menu is vast, and well suited to all ages. The portion sizes were very generous and everything was delicious! The Americans were impressed with the Yankee burgers, praise indeed! The lamb hot stone was amazing. Loads of soft drink options for the kids, and a well stocked bar with lots of local producers for the adults. One of the group was 18 on the day, and the team provided us with birthday banners and balloons free of charge and decorated our seating area. After the meal we had 2 lanes of skittles booked for one hour which both adults and children of all ages thoroughly enjoyed. The pyramid skittles sheet was fast and furious, with people being able to drop in and out of the game as they wished. A real bargain for the number of people we had using the lanes. The service was excellent throughout, with all staff friendly and helpful. Loads of additional games on offer too to keep everyone entertained. Highly recommend for large (or small) groups of all ages. Looking forward to visiting...
