We live nearby and have been meaning to try The Secret Garden. It's my husbands birthday and we wanted outdoorsy and close to home. The bonus for me, a Louisiana girl raised on the border of Texas, was the Tex-Mex offerings on the menu. I went with the carnitas tacos. Oh my... they were so perfect! The best I've had in the U.K.! Seriously, I could taste every flavour explosion. Perfection...chefs kiss. The fries are fantastic. Our daughter had the hot dog and fries and the birthday boy had the , what he described as gorgeous, Korean Chicken burger and sweet potato wedges. The rose was lovely and crisp, my daughter loved her vanilla and oreo shake and of course you can't go wrong with a Cornish Rattler. It was a summer Monday evening. It wasn't crowded but enough patrons and their lovely doggos to make it comfy and gave out a great ambience. The music was the right volume. The staff were on point. Courteous, service with a smile and checked on us enough and not too much. We will definitely be back as I am now on a mission to try the burritos and other tacos. Well done to The Secret Garden...keep up the good work and brilliant food offerings.

📅 1st August 🍔 🍺 Food was solid, fish tacos were the main event, fresh flavourful garnish. Rice in the burrito was wet but not sticky, had no flavour, needs a rethink as it made the burrito average. No difference between the hot and mild salsa or they forgot to give us different ones. Fries were average. 🧍🏻‍♀️All the servers are amazing and super helpful. Whoever the male chef is has lost a star from this review, we were sat near the kitchen and his attitude stinks, he was so rude to the serving girls. horrible fella. 🏧 £35 for two mains + chips and 4 drinks. 🅿️ not great. We walked up, possibly best if you are staying at the campsite. ℹ️ Have a word with the chef owner, he’s creating a toxic work environment IMO.

Really impressed with this place we were looking for somewhere for a while for a reservation and these guys said we could come earlier they were fully booked but got us in so was really happy! It's based in another holiday park, with a giant TIPI to sit under or you can sit outside. The chefs were blasting out some 90s indie anthems which took me back, I think it wouldn't of mattered if the food was bad after hearing those bangers, food was really really good, and we will be popping back over one weekend. Lots of local brews to try , desperados on the specials board tho ERGH! Get some Korev 500ml bottles best lager in the land. PROPER JOB

Well. Well. Well. Where do I start. Table booked for 7.30 for 9 of us. We were there at 7.20 at 7.50 I went to ask if someone would take our order. We eventually about 8.50 we had some food brought out, we were 5 portions of chips short. The very young waiter didn't know what food he was bringing out so we had to guess what it was and hopefully hand it out properly which we didn't. Some of us had completely eaten our burgers by the time we had our chips (20 mins later). We told the member of staff we weren't happy with the service. He instantly said " don't take it out on me" . Well !! Oh dear we were not rude! If they can't take a complaint you can never rectify it! A lady came out quite aggressive and said I'm not having anyone rude to my staff ! Oh it is the manager, well she was rude and aggressive. She proceeded to tell us a member of staff had been and asked if we wanted complementary drinks.. no one asked if we wanted complementary drinks, (at this I have to admit I was rather upset) I can assure you. She also said we could have 4 full loyalty cards. She only gave us 2... We went back for the others. We are regular customers. We will not be going back. Nor will I recommend it ......

Craftworks Kitchen in Padstow is a hidden gem that delivers a knockout dining experience across the board. Nestled in the scenic Padstow Holiday Village, this alfresco haven blends laid-back charm with culinary flair. The atmosphere has a festival feel — think fairy lights, tipis, and converted shipping containers that house a buzzing bar and kitchen.

Absolutely stellar food. Their gourmet burgers are juicy and packed with flavour, while the fish tacos are so good they might just convert lifelong burger fans. Burritos, loaded fries, and vegan options round out a menu that’s bold, fresh, and satisfying. Every dish feels crafted with care, and the cocktails are just as impressive — perfect for sipping as the sun sets.

Service is warm and attentive, with staff who genuinely care about your experience. Even on busy nights, they manage to keep things flowing with a smile. And for all this quality, the prices are refreshingly reasonable — making Craftworks a standout for value in Padstow’s dining scene.

Five stars across the board: food, atmosphere, service, and value. Whether you're camping nearby or just passing through, this is one spot you’ll...
