I’m not sure if this is a new place but felt like the grounds were still needing some work (maybe in the process of doing it up?) Restaurant menu was fancy and very expensive so we opted for the cafe. Nice little place, good tasting croissant and coffee. Relaxed atmosphere. Went over to the ‘bakery’ to take some goods home with us but was told it’s not a bakery but just somewhere they bake for cafe and restaurant. That was a shame seeing as though it advertises a bakery. Feel like the place could be great if it had more going on, some pottery studio? More shops in courtyard? Once you’ve had a coffee there’s much else left to do unfortunately but the buildings and location really is pretty.

I went to Mamm for brunch last weekend, and had an absolutely delicious meal in lovely surroundings. I ordered a eggs, hash, greens, beans and a sausage, along with a latte, apple juice and finally carrot cake for pudding. Who knew breakfast pudding was a thing? I'm now obsessed!! The food was absolutely delicious. The beans were a mixture of beans and lentils, the eggs were so tasty, and the homemade hash brown as just perfect (the photo below will give you a flavour!). The service was excellent and the surroundings were restful. I was only sad not to stay for longer as the pie and pint lunch option was very tempting!!

Incredible experience. I would love to try the full restaurant, but I am not quite in that position at the moment. If you are like this, the café is the perfect option. Lots of creative dishes, beautiful pastries and amazing atmosphere. After we ate, we went on a walk through the gardens as the lovely staff encouraged us to do and it was a brilliant experience seeing where all our food had just grown. Will definitely be making a trip back here.

Ordered 2 breakfasts and 2 latte's. Original Price for breakfast was £11.00 each. Some items were not on the plate that were on the menu. No potato hash no greens. Although didn't tell us this wasn't available and still charged full price. For our £11 per breakfast we would of recieved 2 eggs, I ciabatta toast and a very small spoon of beans. We added a sausage and bacon at an extra £1.50 each bringing our breakfasts to £14.00 each. The eggs were burnt black underneath and had burnt food stuck to them. Tried serving us someone else's food first and also tried to get a tip while placing the order, before receiving any food or service. All together £35.00 for 2 breakfasts and 2 latte"s. That's 1 sausage, bit of bacon , 2 eggs, I slice of toast and about enough dry beans to fill and egg cup. This place is marketed as a home grown local produce cool hip pay more than average experience for those who want something a little bit higher end. The reality is very average food with really inflated prices.

Can think of much better ways to waste my money and certainly won't be returning. Lovely...

I've been here so many times and it's one of only two coffee + bakery venues in SE Cornwall that I will use because of the quality of the coffee and food. This is destination cafe in a courtyard setting with a separate Michelin star restaurant adjacent (Crocodon Farm) It has limited opening hours and a limited menu but the bakery products are amazing and they do a pulled pork breakfast bab that is to die for. Fresh You see the trays of freshly baked bread, croissants and other goodies being carried across the courtyard from the bakery to the cafe or restaurant. All the staff always seem smiling and friendly and the service has always been great. In winter I get there early to bag a seat near the log burner. If it's warmer, then there's plenty of seating in the courtyard and there's also a huge timber pergola in the courtyard for shade or rainy days. There's a chill vibe that always leaves us feeling relaxed and welcome. The toilets are amazing too. How often can you say that about a cafe Why it isn't packed, I don't know but it...

What an incredible find during a day out—an absolute gem! We stopped off for a coffee and ended up having the Belly Pork Breakfast Bap, which was absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. The staff were outstanding: attentive, friendly, and impressively knowledgeable about the menu and local produce. The surroundings were charming and well-kept, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. What truly sets this place apart is the presence of a Michelin-starred chef offering a refined tasting menu—an unexpected and delightful surprise that elevates the entire experience. This isn’t just a stop-off, it’s a destination in its own right. We’ll definitely...
