Crow Trees Inn — Restaurant in England

We went to this restaurant on the 10th of March as it was convenient for our family, as it was my brother and my dad’s birthday, and because they serve vegetarian food. However, if we knew that just one staff would ruin our day, we would have avoided this place. Firstly, when we went to order our food at the bar, we had to wait a little bit longer as the staff was serving other customers, even though we were there first. Secondly, as we sat down and got our food (after waiting 30-45 minutes - there were six of us), my dad had politely asked the same staff that took our order at the bar, if she could take us a quick photo. The same staff just abruptly stopped my dad from finishing his sentence and said “there are other customers that I need to serve and I am really busy” - it was at 1730, and there was barely anyone at the restaurant as they only opened the restaurant at 1700. Thirdly, my mum had ordered a steak and was waiting for her steak knife, after waiting for at least five minutes (she did not wait longer, for obvious reason that the food will get cold), she asked the same staff if she could give my mum a steak knife, to which she replied “we haven’t got any”. Did not even glance at her way nor apologised for it. My mum ended up eating her steak with a butter knife. Fourthly, the same staff did not even ask if everything was fine with our food (in which we clearly saw that she did ask the other table opposite us), nor asked if we have finished eating and just assumed, and took all the plates. Overall, the service was so terrible it left us flabbergasted and upset; it ruined a special birthday meal. We have been to numerous restaurants and never experienced such atrocious service. The said staff was a petite long haired “blonde” and was very rude. My dad and my brother were visibly mad and upset, to which my brother openly voiced his displeasure stating “terrible service” as we walked out. We will never come back to this...

I don’t usually leave reviews but felt obliged to after our experience here. We had been told to expect a 30 minute wait when ordering food which was no problem. However, 30 minutes rolled by, then an hour. We had asked where our food was and why it was taking so long, to which the manager had replied it will be out in a minute. As we were a big group, we had ordered separately, with us being the last of the group. The rest had been waiting an additional 15 minutes. Finally 1hr 15 minutes in our first meals arrived missing the coleslaw. Usually this would not be an issue, however due to the fact we had already waited so long and the lack of care from the manager already, we were frustrated nonetheless. We had also informed the manager at this point that others in the group had been waiting 15 minutes longer and had still not received their food to which he replied “oh have they”. He then rushed out with their food which included the “award winning pie” still frozen in the middle! The rest of our food didn’t arrive for an additional 15 minutes (in total 1hr 30 mins wait!) At this point, we had lost both our interest and appetite and insisted on a refund. Sadly, without any apologies from the manager, he left it to one of the bar staff to sort out our refunds, who tried her best to be as friendly and helpful as possible, but was very clearly stressed out and overwhelmed with the situation. Awful Experience! We visited with family whilst staying on the park. When we ordered we were told there was 30 minute wait which we didn’t mind. After a hour of waiting and being told it was on its way, The first meal out of the 6 we ordered came out an 1hr 30 mins later! Part of the meals missing because they had ran out! Kids Pasta bake was horrendous, congealed and inedible! Or in our 7 year olds words Absolutely Awful!!! The final meal came out 1hr 45 minutes later, again missing items! Tuna and cheese panini was soggy. My partner and I had to share a £16 chicken burger which was basically 2 Birds Eye microwave chicken fillets on a bun and a bit of rocket. No cheese, no coleslaw as stated on the menu! Disgusting! We received no apology from the Manager who just stormed off with his head down and left one of the ladies behind the bar to deal with us after we demanded refunds. Food is disgusting and overpriced! My brother and his family had the same issue and his ‘Gold Medal Winning’ Pie came out frozen after 90 minutes!! DO NOT waste your time...
