Been here many times before and had a fantastic meal but today just wasn't the same. We were firstly put just by the toilets..... we could tell by the smell that we were seated by the loos. We were a group of four plus two highchairs and I can definitely say this is not a child friendly restaurant; I had to change a nappy on the floor of the ladies bathroom.

Starters were fine, we ordered camembert, two soups and a prawn cocktail. Mains were mostly steaks, of which the meat itself was pleasant all round, however the onion rings were very greasy. Desserts were the syrup sponge and chocolate fudge cake, all of which seemed like they had been microwaved and were very underwhelming for £6.95 each. I had a gin and tonic which cost over £6.50 for a single and our entire bill came to over £160. Service was very average, although the waitresses were attentive, they seemed like they didn't really want to be there and didn't have a particularly nice manner.

The bar was busy, which is nice to see for a village pub. I felt like this venue has come away from being the delicious restaurant I'd previously visited and become more of a local watering hole.

Unfortunately we likely...

Lovely little pub and the waiting staff are fantastic, real customer care and happy to chat. Food was good, although obviously microwaved as it came out almost immediately which is nice if you're in a rush but not if you like food properly warm. Roast Beef was delicious, nicely rare which is how it should be and the roast potatoes were like home made. Sticky toffee pudding was good too and they serve Butty Bach, which is always a winner for me. I will go again as I feel it important to support local pubs as much as we can right now and hope that as they get back on their feet that they can lose the...

On holiday nearby and booked a table to have Sunday lunch for our Anniversary...had a generous Roast beef dinner...a variety of green and root vegetables and a delicious cauliflower cheese made with a proper cheese sauce..oh and a huge light Yorkshire pudding all served with a rich gravy. Husband had dessert (I was too full) and was presented with a huge slice of lemon cheesecake with vanilla ice-cream... definitely homemade and delicious. Service was friendly and efficient and we are planning another visit before the end of...

It's a lovely pub. Unfortunately, they'd finished serving food when we attended. First rate bar staff. As seems to be the way in Herefordshire, the staff don't see it as a competition, more a 'collective', when the lady heard I was a fan of real ale, she recommended another pub 'for me to try'. That's one of the things I love about Hereford! They're a Team! It's all about THEIR area, not THEM as individual locations..........

A great place with great food and very friendly staff. We were only staying nearby for a few days but we went back for a second night because the food is so good. Well worth a visit. The steak frites (pictured) was delicious.

Visited Monday and Tuesday, no food served. Pretty quiet but everyone friendly and willing to chat. Ate Wednesday, food very good. Lamb shank and steak, both very well cooked, tasty and descent portion size. Would recommend
