Have stopped at this cafe a few times in the past whilst out motorcycling with friends. Stopped there again yesterday for coffee and cake. The cake itself (an orange flavoured Victoria sponge) was actually very nice indeed, the problem was the portion size. It was the thinnest, stingiest slice I’ve ever seen. Literally and without exaggeration about 1 centimetre at the thickest end. The coffee I ordered was a flat white, what I actually got was so milky you could barely taste any coffee. Definitely not how a flat white should be. I left feeling very disappointed. It’s a shame because previous visits have been fine, but I don’t feel inclined to go back to this cafe, even when we visit the museum itself, which we are planning...
Read moreWe have always loved crowns and the museum. Since it changed hands we’ve tried being supportive and continued to go. However, sadly it’s really dirty, food quality is low; today they folded the child’s sandwich instead of cutting it, no fruit on offer or healthy snacks for kids (packed lunch costs £6) for £6 I think the sandwich can be made will a little more attention. The tables are sticky and highchairs never clean, this dirty spoon in highchair was there on multiple visits. The park and museum are still great but the cafe if I’m honest is a bit gross. Read moreThis cafe is within the REME Museum complex,after having a good look around the Museum we popped in here for a cup of tea and a bite to eat it’s a nice little cafe with quite a good selection of cakes biscuits and other bites on the menu,it is kept spotlessly clean with a good service....there is also an outdoor seating area complete with helicopter not flyable and small play place for the younger one's..with easy access and plenty of parking making it a great place...
