Cumin Garden — Restaurant in England

If I could give this restaurant no stars at all I 100% would!

This restaurant is absolutely appalling I went to their restaurant earlier this evening with all my friends. We booked the table over the phone & the staff couldn’t have been nicer. But as soon as we walked through there door there was an instant atmosphere that felt we was very unwelcome. When they seated us to are table they immediately ask us to pay before hand, I’ve never had this happen to me and I could tell it’s because of are ethnicity. When we questioned why we needed to pay beforehand there response was “ it’s just are new policy “ so when we asked the lovely family seated next to us that was already enjoying there meal if they paid beforehand they said “ no we haven’t paid yet”. So my friends and I definitely knew this was some kind of racial discrimination. But anyway we still paid are bill because my friends and I are polite like that but after this situation I am never going back there they clearly have no respect for are ethnic culture and if this situation was on the hand it would be a even bigger problem. Absolutely appalled of the service tonight in cumin gardens not just by the food but the service of the staff meaning , I’ve never been asked to pay first as soon as we walked in they sat us down and said you have got to pay as u order this is the only way u can eat here we didn’t hesitate as we thought it was weird but did as asked we also asked the people on the table next to us if they had to do the same and they said they haven’t paid yet as it’s normal to pay at the end of the meal I’ve come out with my family and felt disrespected this is outrageous as the bill came out to over £150 and we payed straight away with no issues but when we spoke to them and asked why this was they said we already told you you’d have to pay first that’s just how it’s gonna be I feel like this is racial discrimination against us and it’s something I wouldn’t have expected from another ethnic group like there self’s — eating dinner at Cumin...

NOT INDIAN CUISINE AT ALL! Horrific experience! They themselves said they are a bunch of Bangladeshi people trying to experiment with Indian cuisine. Ordered lemon rice with literally pieces of lemon skin in it. When told the the chef or the manager about this. They said "if you don't like, don't come, this is how we make and people like it", that's atrocious!!!?? (maybe they like it because they have never had Indian cuisine in their entire life). First of all this isn't the right way to speak to your customers second, selling inedible food (made up by yourselves) in the name of Indian cuisine is ridiculous! Third, it doesn't even take 2mins to watch a YouTube video and learn how to make lemon rice? Learn first, it takes lesser time than you chopping the inedible lemon skin pieces and adding it in the rice. Please change your tag line to Bangladeshi Cuisine going forward. Never...
