This place has unfortunately really gone down hill. My friend and I went in Friday lunchtime.
We were one of only two sets of people there which firstly was a stark difference from before.
Then we were told there were no special today as “we haven’t bothered to do any” was the reply when we asked as the menu told us to.
We ordered chicken nuggets and chips for our toddlers. No vegetables were served with it we had to ask for them as extra. When it arrived the portion size was fine for a toddler although too small for any child over 5, the chicken nuggets were the really awful cheap congealed kind that most places no longer serve and probably have very little chicken in them. Disappointing as it doesn’t take much these days to buy indecent nuggets.
Our drinks, traditional lemonade, used to be high quality lemonade served in a glass with fresh fruit. It’s now cheap traditional lemonade with that awful sweetener taste.
We ordered chicken and bacon salads which would before be locally sourced chicken and a decent serving of salad. I now it’s battered chicken served in a small cereal bowl with little salad. Sweet potato fries were good though.
The service was friendly on the whole although slow.
It’s such a shame as Daisy’s used to be an award winning Tea Shop. It’s certainky a far cry from those days. The local pub is cheaper and much better quality. I think that’s where will will head next time. This is no longer either value for money or quality. Let’s hope the feedback is listened to and improved on. Not sure this little place will...
