Don Beni — Restaurant in England

Very disappointed. After reading the reviews. I drove from London, I thought I went to a different restaurant., On arrival the welcome Wes very very bed, No one payed attached to us.i felt not welcomed,i believe either the manager or the owner did not care, let me tell you Mr Owner/ manager. Without customers you will close.

Now the food. Very disappointed,nothing to write home about, below average. We order prawns , over cooked very tough, Calamari’s very soggy and not crispy. The main, nothing special below average. Side dish. sortie potatoes soggy. Carrots cooked during the day and reheated. With respect, I traveled the world and this is one of the worsted Restuarent for service and food.

On the plus side the waiters did their best with the service.

The restaurant has a nice and interesting atmosphere, which is warm and inviting. However, the staff's behaviour was very rude and unacceptable. We were just about to sit down when the menus were handed to us, but we weren't given a chance to look at them. The waitress immediately asked us what we wanted to order. I explained that I needed to see the menu first, but she became very angry.

Then, another waitress came to take our order and was also rude. She insisted that we order immediately, hovering over us and repetitively stating that they were busy and couldn't wait for us to decide. I felt pressured and didn't even have the opportunity to read the menu. As a result, we just ordered something we saw first. Afterwards, we had to wait a long time for our meals to be served.

I felt stressed and unwelcome throughout the entire experience. I will definitely never return...

Extremely and unnecessarily rude! My family and I were out on a pleasant family walk and thought it would be nice to stop-off to enjoy a hot drink. Upon entering the restaurant and making this request politely we were curtly and loudly told “No food? You want drinks then go to the pub, we are not a pub!!!” in front of other diners. It was both humiliating and completely unnecessary. We were then practically kicked out the restaurant; the man ushered us out like vermin and made sure he closed the door behind us in a very hostile manner. Our four-year-old instantly burst into tears as he couldn’t understand why the man had behaved in such an aggressive way nor why he was he wasn’t allowed the hot chocolate we had promised him. This is supposed to be a family-friendly establishment, -certainly not by our experience! Disgusting behaviour. We will not...
