The best has got better. I'll be recommending the venue to my cycle club. Would still recommend letting them know if a typical group of cyclists (8-12+) intend to visit. Only fair. Visited with my cycling bud G and we had a spell of sun before expected rain so stayed outside. Lots of indoor and outdoor space. Attractive venue and area. Great choice, nice portions, friendly staff / owners. Well thought out. Plenty of room for everyone. Good sized car park for those who prefer. What is not to like. Very welcome after a cycle from Leeds and before the return leg.

Recently revisited. Has been extended and refurbished. Outdoor area is lovely with secure bike parking. Inside now much more modern but still cosy. On my latest visit they gave me 2 slices of walnut and pecan slice for the price of one, because they felt they were small👍 Update: visited on a (rare) hot day. Plenty of cyclists there. I asked for some water and was directed to a water dispenser sat outside under an umbrella. Shame they won't fill your bottle from the tap like most places do.

It was very popular on a sunny Sunday afternoon with cyclists and drivers alike. Set in the small village of Bolton Percy between York and Tadcaster it has a small car park, a nice seating area outside and is in a lovely converted farm building on a working farm. Lovely atmosphere, food and drinks. Would definitely return.

I requested catering from Doylys 3 months before our event to which they confirmed they would be delighted to cater for. They are recommended by Acaster Malbis hall on their website. After several emails to and from in the weeks leading up to it and a couple of confirmation emails, including invoice, it is incredibly disappointing, frustrating, and extremely unprofessional on Doylys behalf to receive a cancellation email, no phone call, less than one week before with no reason given. Only stating they hope I understand. We were requesting about £250 worth of food. They hadn’t been the friendliest, or most professional, to communicate with (usually no name on their emails so they remained quite anonymous), and also emailed me a couple of days ago to confirm cancellation, which was quite suspicious, only to then reply to my surprised email stating that it wasn’t cancelled and their mistake. Very confused and let down by them to receive an email this morning stating they can’t do the catering. And why? No reason. Tried calling them a couple of times but no answer...

We stayed at Doylys, stables accommodation, for two nights and would thoroughly recommend it. This family run business provides a very efficient, friendly service. All staff were extremely attentive, happy to see you and made you feel very welcome.

The accommodation itself, is traditionally furnished but, spotlessly clean and well equipped. Breakfast was spectacular, so much on offer and everything was delicious and freshly prepared.

Our only negative was very pricey taxi fare quote from our Wedding venue [just a mile away] we opted to drive instead but, this wasn't something our hosts could change. The other minor negative was scratchy towels, very much in need of a lovely, fluffy finish but, I'm guessing tumble drying towels isn't very sustainable. All in all we were delighted and would highly recommend a stay here. Thanks...

I havent visited Doyles for a while and was pleasantly surprised to find they have extended the property into a barn. The cafe probably now has 50 covers both inside and out. Although one might think this detracts from the original ‘Tea Room’ feel of the place, it doesn't. Despite sitting next to a large group of 12 or 16, our service was just as fast as normal and the noise didn't interfere with our conversation on. The menu was more extensive than before and quite delightful. Tasty sandwiches and the fish and the chips and hot food at the next door table looked amazing. I’ll definitely be returning...
