It took a little while for me to get to the point of going Into this coffee shop, my Autism makes new things so difficult so change is often avoided.. coffee shops can be overwelming for neurodiverse minds and for me, sensory overload is something i really struggle with.. I took the plunge after a few weeks of it opening and OH MY GOSH....The coffee is undoubtably the best in town. The selection of pastries and muffins are always ample in variety and delicious. The coffee machine is not offensively loud - I don't even think i registered that sound at all! The music is never too loud either. A really calm and bright space id highly reccomend for any neurodiverse or like minded people! The staff are so attentive - after just a few days of coming in, they already know my preferences on my coffee order! This place is warm and welcoming with staff who are more than happy to offer any support! I was looking forward to a.specific item for lunch the other day (again, it takes me a few days to observe and then enjoy new things) so when I returned the next day, i was disappointed to see they had no more left - they staff member kindly took the time to make me another one.. I know it could have been easier to just say they had ran out. The freshly made pea and mint falafel is DELCIOUS and i highly highly reccomend! The time and effort that has gone into making this coffee shop a part of the community is undeniable, I can absolutely see this place becoming the heart of bidwell. A place to go and never feel lonely and always accepted with open arms.
My new favourite place hands down.
Well done to all the team for creating such a great environment for all to...
Read moreI happened upon Esquires today and it is such a little gem. I ordered a latte, oat flat white and 2 muffins. It was pretty quiet, and the wait was long and some one was having a bit of a moan about their wait but otherwise it had a really relaxed atmosphere and I enjoyed a bit of peace while waiting. I wish I had checked out a menu as they have some fun frappe type drinks that sound right up my street, particularly intrigued by the Bakewell latte! They were making iced drinks pretty quickly and they looked so good. My salted caramel muffin was stale, and they told me it was hard from being in the fridge and to wait but…it was just stale which I thought was cheeky. The drinks were in mugs instead of takeaway cups so they changed it no problems and were polite and friendly. The coffee though was PHENOMENAL. Whoever made that oat milk flat white..it was the best coffee I’ve had in my life. Ive worked at Costa and Starbucks and was a Barista Maestro and I’ve trained a lot of people to make flat whites…done roastery tastings…but tasted nothing like this in my time. Best coffee ever! I know full well that a snapshot of a rough 10mins working in a coffee shop can be like day and night vs the next 10mins..especially on a Saturday. So I don’t doubt the potential of the staff at all. Stop selling stale muffins and concentrate on that superstar making the coffee ✨They will make you way more money than shifting stale food. All the best, will definitely be back for more flat whites!!! Seriously out of this world. A...
Read moreWe have passed this place so many times and decided we needed to check it out. Was hoping it was dog friendly, but I understand why they have chosen not to be so inside as its quite small. You can, however, sit outside with dogs, maybe not now, but when the better weather arrives. There is plenty of parking here right outside the coffee shop. I had a coffee and a huge sausage roll. The coffee I had was a latte, and it was lovely, no bitterness, just a really nice smooth coffee. The sausage roll was very nice, too. Inside the atmosphere was very pleasant and the staff were very nice and accommodating. I would visit again, especially in the summer...
