Evergreen Cafe — Restaurant in England

My daughter and I have been going to Evergreens since it opened a few years ago. We went every Friday until I had an operation and was ill. We always loved it, especially for me, the sea bass. We started going again about six weeks ago and found that sea bass had been taken off the menu. I was very disappointed but one of the staff said of I let them know when I was coming, they would get it on for me. I was thrilled. So the second time I had it, I was told it would be the last time as Brett's wife has said not to do it anymore. Then we booked for Christmas dinner. When my daughter phoned up to confirm the time, she was told that I wasn't booked in and couldn't have it as they didn't have the ingredients. I'm extremely upset as we pay roughly £28.00 per week which works out over fourteen hundred pounds a year. Can any business afford to lose that money and good...

It's hard too write this review. The place and the idea behind it is excellent. The staff are genuine, polite, friendly...I'm writing this review from what I experienced, however we went in with 6 people and ordered fry ups all round....coffee, juice etc.....there weren't many people in but still took an hour to get our food.....when it did arrive the food quality was poor and was brought out at different times. The orange juice was in a small glass and costs £2.95 which is ridiculous. I do say though if we went in wanting coffee and cake it would have been a different story. There was a park opposite which kids loved....I think the numbers and the scale of the order was just too much....good effort....I will be returning, just not...

The food here is freshly cooked so takes a while to come out but boy is it worth the wait if you're having something from main menu! Thai green curry, Piri Piri chicken was excellent! This cafe based in an over 55's establishment so is a social hub for residents but with sports field next door and inside Archer's gate residential area a great asset to everyone in area! It's great to see young families using cafe as well but some parents don't seem to have much control over their charges and with a lot of elderly with limited mobility moving around an issue could arise. Go and visit...
