Golden Lion Hotel — Restaurant in England

We're a retired couple and spent a week in a holiday flat in Loftus in September 2023. We visited the Golden Lion 3 times. The place is quite old-fashioned but the staff are all lovely, chatty and friendly (Betty even gave us a beer glass we'd admired!). The locals were chatty and pleasant, and the lager is excellent and VERY reasonably priced. We were particularly impressed at how the establishment obviously takes special care of the needs of a few elderly villagers who probably would not get out at all if it were not for their services.
