Golden Valley Farm Shop & Cafe — Restaurant in England

My wife and I came for our lunch today. It was our second time visiting the cafe, the first visit was lovely. This visit sadly wasn't ! We ordered our food and waited patiently, but sat seeing other orders being taken out , but ours still didn't arrive. I went up to the counter after half an hour to politely ask about our food. I was told it would be a few minutes. So again waited, but still no food . I went up to the counter again to ask if it was on its way, I was it was. We then saw one of the staff come out with the food, only to go in and out of the kitchen several times !!!! Eventually it was brought over , with the reason being he had been given the wrong table number. Unfortunately due to the food being sat around it was cold. My wife returned the food to the counter and then had to wait for a fresh one to be cooked. We had an apology, but no offer of a complimentary drink or refund. I feel very disappointed with this visit and probably would not...

We came to visit for the first time and sadly we won't be back. It was very cramped and you could barely get around the tables. We watched the staff struggle with this too, not being able to deliver food or drinks without moving chairs. We ordered food and coffee. Coffee took a while to come out and then the food took 45 minutes to arrive. The roll with the soup had been microwaved meaning it was chewy when it went cold. The sandwiches while the bread was delicious, had very little filling and a small salad. Not very good value for money.

Then to finish off the pile of junk in the corner of the car park is really not very...

Lovely little place in itself to visit. Food is lovely, but service does let it down. I've been here twice now (once mid-week, and once on a Saturday; both times with the cafe itself half full) and the service has been very slow. Both times we've waited 40 minutes plus for our food to arrive. I wouldn't have minded if they had been more upfront about wait times. As said, the food was lovely, but personally not worth the wait in my opinion. We also ordered a kids meal, and the chips came out quite heavily salted which...
