Gosforth Bakery is The go-to place for pies, pasties, and freshly made sandwiches along the A595. There's normally a queue, which they serve very quickly, so do stop even if it stretches to the road. Then eat your food at one of the tables in their lovely garden with a cold or hot drink; on a sunny day you will be delighted you stopped a while. They are not what you expect from a northern m&p pie it was full of dark gravy and different meat to what in used to from northern pies. I found it really strange, not to my liking.
