I visited with my brother on a Sunday (10/04/22) and as soon as we walked in we were greeted by friendly staff who sat us down as soon as we walked in and gave us time to choose drinks. When drinks were chosen we decided upon a starter and a main. As you can see from the photos the starters were amazing quality and tasted incredible this was made better by the presentation. The main meals were also great (see photos) I went with a pie and as you can see it was quite large and was filled to the brim with beef and gravy this was served with mash and veg all amazing. The brother had a chicken burger and said it tasted really good. Update 21/08/22 went in for a roast dinner and it was great (see photo)
As for drinks they have a wide selection of beer, ale, cocktails, cider, wine etc prices being quite reasonable. There was also a large beer garden with lots of tables and even a small play area for the kids. Unfortunately I didn't get a photo but trust me it's nice in the sun!
26/03/22 visited again the menu appears to have been updated. Staff now come to tables to take orders and bring drinks. We had the Korean chicken burger (Not too sure what was Korean about it) which was tasty. Dessert was also good we had a cheesecake and a chocolate brownie.
Staff were friendly and nothing was too much bother for them. Will definitely...
Read moreWe booked a table, a group of 6 of us on a Friday evening, it’s wasn’t packed but many tables taken. We ordered through the website using the QR code, two ordered at the bar. I don’t like ice in my drinks and there was no option on the site to say no ice annoyingly. We all ordered separately but food came out around the same time. I ordered the chicken tikka, it was lovely and a big portion, the mango chutney was lovely but it’s not necessary to have so much, although I realised after it didn’t come with the poppadom as stated on the menu. One friend order the steak, it was cooked perfectly and was huge. Another fish and chips, again huge. Another ordered a pie, I got a tad food envy for that! For dessert I ordered churros, they were delicious. Atmosphere was lovely, the decor was beautiful with a few subtle finds of the local area such as the cow in the moon which we enjoyed finding. When we arrived there was a dog there, so appears to be dog friendly. Plenty of parking and outside area is large with a children’s playground. Staff were friendly and helpful. A TV screen with the cricket on, not quite our vibe but it was there....
Read moreWhat began as a lovely prawn cocktail and steak pie meal sharply turned into something out of a Ben Dover film. After taking a few minutes to find the toilets due to a fancy new refurbishment that has clearly been added to the menu price (please try the apple in cider pie). when I found the toilets the 1st problem I found was there was no soap! So I was forced to open the cubicle door with my unwashed hands, I was shocked to find two young men in the toilet together! I thought it was discussing that people where doing narcotics in a village pub until I realised by the sounds that I was used to hearing in my youth, they where in mid sexual activity together!!!!! I shuffled out the door backwards to the find some bar staff but to my horror when I told the management they just shrugged there shoulder's and said "they are always up to it mate, it's Tommy Twinkle Dick and Big Rick little Dick". nothing was done about this act and am 100% positive the toilets didn't get cleaned or the soap replaced after the man on man in the green man act! You can safely say I have not been back to eat even though I hear good things about the...
