Ground Floor Coffee Shop in Bedford is a lovely hidden gem inside King's House. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with plenty of comfy seating—perfect for catching up with friends or getting some work done.

Their coffee, roasted locally by Wooden Hill Coffee Company, is excellent, and I love that they support tree planting in the Forest of Marston Vale. The food is fresh and tasty too—my pulled pork and apple sandwich was spot-on, and the cakes are all locally sourced.

Welcoming and friendly. Reasonably priced, I paid £8.10 I think for a gluten free meal deal equivalent that was far better then any shop I have been to that I recall and you get to chat and sit down on a comfortable table/chairs.

The gluten free falafel wrap wasn't dry and tasted kind of like a vegan haslet to me, not meaty but texture wise and very satisfying. The sauce was a sweet-ish chilli and it had lettuce in, it was lovely.

Was at a two-day conference at King's House and needed a sweet treat. The first day I got a slice of raspberry coconut loaf cake...soooo good. The next day I tried a slice of the mango lime cake. It was also tasty. A friend shared a bite of the raspberry coconut crumble. It was very sweet. The staff behind the counter were friendly and helpful.
