Hampden Arms — Restaurant in England

Lovely cosy country pub. Very friendly staff, good ales, very reasonable price food (Greek dishes a speciality) especially mid-week special offers. Surrounded by beautiful countryside (great for dog walking) with the pub being dog friendly too. We had Beef Stifardo and lamb Kleftico both very good and with two glasses of wine, two pints came in at sub £40! Has lovely fireplaces...with fires in the winter....but this is a summer pub for sure (with the lovely location). Definitely recommended 😁

Have returned again last week (Tuesday evening) and once again really impressed with the food....really tasty and only £10/head for two coarses. My partner and I were full up....and with a decent bottle of Malbec it came in at just £34!!!! Amazing value. Staff totally attentive and a lovely atmosphere (quite a few people in there...busy).

Almost want to keep it a secret lol.....but seriously this country pub deserves local support....save on weekday washing up and...

Sunday evening meal on 20th August, myself and a friend. A lovely old-fashioned pub, small and friendly. The staff are friendly and attentive. We had the roast lamb (from Sunday roast lunch menu) and the fish and chips. After eating out at various pubs in the Tring area, this was by far the best meal in terms of quality, taste, and portion size. Tasty tender lamb served with a Yorkshire pudding, thick-cut roast wedges, gravy, mint sauce, and a big dish of seasonal green veg. I struggled to finish it all. The fish was covered in crispy batter, and the chips were cooked 'properly'. Prices are reasonable too. Would definitely recommend, and will go back myself. We did a walk beforehand which was great too, lovely...

As a Walking Leader- I have used this Pub for - great food/ hospitality/ and service for years!

Today was no different!! 13 of us arrived- happily bought hot beverages and 2 Sandwiches - I call a platter! Fresh/ great portions.. Thank You!

The Outdoor marquee was GREAT for us to shelter and eat.

Pre Covid- I took my parents here. Then..4 years ago when I (out of courtesy) telephoned to check in...

The Devastating "News"- sorru Dee- we have to close 6pm tomorrow 😢.

Thankfully- 4 yeas later..We still get the Great Service 👍. And . Here is to a next meet! As the food looked so good- suggested to others...just drive on a date night../ Take your other...
