Fantastic little but busy coffee café, located within a gorgeous location just off junction 7 of the M62. It's reputation preceded it so it's being busy wasn't expected (15 minute waiting time for a table meant we spent time in the gift shop, garden centre and taking in the sight of a full paddock of Alpacas!!), however, on our visit it took over 40 minutes for our breakfast to arrive as the kitchen had to deal with an earlier 12 seat table order. The food when it arrived was spot on, delicious, and well worth the wait, as was the complimentary tea and coffee that accompanied the meal. The overall experience was therefore a 4 star grading and would have been 5 stars had we not waited a while. Maybe my next visit will be different. I hope so, and I'm looking forward to it. 😃

Only recently heard of this place, despite it being really close to home. I'm glad I did though, as it's well worth the trip. Onsite is a cafe, garden centre, gift shop and butchers. The cafe has plenty of seating and overlooks a field of alpacas! Prices are a little steep but the food is lovely. I had the veggie breakfast and was happy with it. The cafe became busy quite quickly though, and there was a wait for service throughout. The garden centre was small but full of varieties of plants, planters and handmade wooden furniture. I didn't go to the butchers for obvious reasons 🌿 but the gift shop was another win. I bought a few cards for friends in Japan and was almost tempted to buy some soap and candles. There's always next time though!

Very disappointing, it took a while to be seated, and there was loads of seats empty, waitress send me to the freezer to see the drinks instead having them In the menu or explaining to me, drinks took a long time I I was told I could not help myself in the freezer, When I order my shortbread caramel and chocolate slice, I was told I could not order only that cake it had to be a tower with another 4 other cakes that I didn’t like! That it was final, Not accommodating, and losing £7.90 from a customer which wanted a 2 slice, Definitely don’t recommend slow services, poor menu and not flexible with the ordering! In addition credit card machine is always not working, good way to tax fraud! Really bad! Authorities should check it out!

I've just called Harefields to check if they cater for customers with certain allergies. A girl answered the phone and when I asked if they do dairy free sandwiches she replied that they do have gluten free bread. For a second time I asked if the sandwiches, mainly the fillings, were dairy free. She started to read the menu to me to tell me what they had. After asking the kitchen staff if the bread had soya in it she advised me "I think you'd be okay "

As she sounded really unsure I asked if she could do an egg sandwich without dairy as I'm allergic to dairy. After having to explain what dairy was (as she told me I couldn't have egg if I was allergic to dairy!) I asked if she could check with the kitchen if it could be completely dairy free. She huffed on the phone then asked the staff. The tone of her voice, whilst she was asking, was not very accommodating almost like I was wasting her time as she had better things to do. She finally said their mayo is Hellmans and basically how I'd be better off not going!

Definitely not the customer experience I was hoping for and despite it looking lovely from the outside and the majority of the reviews being positive it's a place I won't be visiting. Hopefully the owner will train their staff in the art of customer service and allergy requirements to make sure their customers have a positive experience...

Went in without a booking MIDWEEK BEFORE LUNCH which is fine that we had to wait. Didn't wait too long at all. When we were seated the staff were straight over to ask what we would like to order we hadn't decided as we were busy chatting so they came over again soon after we ordered food and drinks afterwards our plates were removed and they tried to give us our bill it was clear they wanted the table as they kept staring and glaring over at our table making us feel rather uncomfortable we ordered another drink we hadn't long been given our drinks and we were getting the glares again before we were finished they slammed the bill down. We both thought this extremely rude. Even when we paid up we were disgusted as we called thankyou and buy out of courtesy despite how we had been treated and 2 members of staff saw us and just ignored us extremely rude. If only they knew the reason and had heard the reason we had met up I think they would have realised that we were having an upsetting at times conversation not to be rushed and pushed out. I never leave bad reviews normally but was horrified at the rudeness of certain individuals it's not like we didn't order food and...

We got the pancakes with maple syrup and some extras my pancakes where inedible hard and burnt and not pleasant I ended up leaving 2 my husbands where ok and 1 of mine I complained when we where paying the bill didn't want anything off just making them aware unfortunately the person who took the payment the cook and I think probably the manager where talking about my complaint just outside the kitchen and I could hear them so I went over and explained I brought the manager to my plate to show her the pancakes she said I should of said at the beginning and they would of changed them but if you can't get pancakes right then I certainly don't want a repeat order I also thought it was strange that a cook would bring out food leave it on the counter and wait for it to be picked up by a member of staff while going cold I personally noticed 2 sausage on toast there for 5mins before being taken by staff to the customer I have never been here before my husband thought it might be a nice treat on our day off but unfortunately not for me can't comment on the sandwiches but my other items where breakfast items and I won't bore...
