This is the bar we will use to measure all future Harvester restaurants by. When we arrived we were quickly found a table. The staff were friendly and helpful. The menu was set out clearly and there was a very decent selection. I had a brain tumour as a child and the treatment petrified my jaw, meaning that I find meat a difficult texture to eat. I was very pleased to see vegetarian options that were not 'fake meat', but dishes where you can enjoy the tastes and textures of vegetables. After taking our order our waiter, Greg, checked about any food allergies (I react badly to mushrooms). He then returned a short time later to check I was okay with them frying my halloumi, as the same fryer was used for mushrooms. Throughout our meal we were asked several times to check that everything was ok. Greg looked after us really well.
The pricing is very decent, the area we were seated in was well spaced and clean. I would highly recommend eating here āŗļø
09/06/25 I would like to add a second review to acknowledge the tact, diplomacy and professionalism shown by our server Martyn and other team members last night. When we arrived there was a large group in the bar area that were very noisy and allowing their children to make a mess in the front area and near (and apparently in) the salad bar. The team had to make the decision to close down the salad bar due to contamination, but were quick to reassure their other customers that if they wanted any salad refills they just had to ask for what they wanted and they would bring it fresh from the kitchen. It was a difficult situation and the team couldn't have...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOur waitress was great, we understand that the food served to us wasn't under her control and she tried genuinely to do what she could, she'd have gotten you a 10 but the food let you down terribly. We've been to loads of harvesters including this one previously. The worst food we have had there. Didn't help that we could see one of the chefs in the carpark smoking. Habits are habits but at least hide. We had 2 of the platters, they were sent back because the chicken was so hairy?! Do you not burn/pluck them during prep?? Or is someone not doing their job? One wing was literally on the verge of flying it was so hairy. The steak was sooo dry and almost chalk like. Both were overcooked but after sending the chicken back we weren't going to then wait for steak to be redone also. We could actually see that the chicken wasn't fresh, they just pulled off the feathers so we still didn't eat it. Waste of money. Salad bowl was the highlight tbh and you don't even pay for that. Glad I had a discount code as to pay for that would have been ridiculous & I believe we shouldn't have had to pay at all but our nan was with us and fuss was not necessary. Apologies I don't remember the waitresses name but her top and bottom lashes stood out as I wondered how she got her bottom...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreArrived and had booked a table, waiting at the entrance for 10 minutes before anyone came to seat us. Were sat down by the host and given menus. It then took 20 minutes for the waitress to come over to us. She did not introduce herself, did not ask if we wanted drinks, just said are you ready to order. We ordered food and refill drinks. 15 minutes later and we still had not received glasses for our drinks and had to find the waitress and ask for them. Sat, eating salad and from where we were sat we could see the food on the pass. Our food was sat there for 15 minutes before someone else (not our waitress) bought it over to us. We had now been waiting over an hour since we ordered. Food was okay, a little cold (not surprised considering how long it was sat there for). No one came to ask us if everything was okay with the meals and after we had finished the plates sat dirty on the table for 20 minutes before we asked for them to be cleared away and for the bill. We would have stayed for desert, but had already been at the restaurant for around 2 hours. This was suppose to be a nice treat for my girlfriends birthday which just turned into a...
