I have been here a lot and the coffee is great, lots of staff, very busy, always long queues. However I have yet to have good food here. I have had a salad, panini, and my final vegan sausage bap. Every time the food is so stale, salad slimy, so yuk, panini, dry, hard and yesterday my friend had a scone, and as she was moving away from the counter a waitress just snatched her scone and threw it in the bin! So she ordered another and said it felt like rock and when she bit into it not only was it hard but tasted mouldy. I had a sausage bap with tomato sauce that was again so dry with the most miserly scraping of tomato sauce I have ever seen. This time we both took our food back and I won't be eating there again. How dare they serve us stale, probably days old food. The staff are young, some polite but there's always a miserable one there with attitude. Decided to cheer ourselves up with a cinnamon bun but this had obviously been sitting around all day and was so dry and tough it was difficult to get a knife through. Sorry - no problems with the youngsters serving they were very pleasant but there are clearly serious problems with a management that thinks it is OK to serve this kind of thing these days. We were there just after 1.00 but the lunch options on the board...
Read moreI haven't been to the base at Greenham for some time, for many reasons including Covid-19! So, got a big surprise today with all the new buildings that have arrived and especially the Honesty Bakery!
Beautiful interior, beautiful outside area with lots of seating.
The food is delicious and the pastries were divine! The drinks were lovely and although I didn't have the coffee myself....others in our group said they were lovely and really tasty.
One thing to bear in mind is that there isn't much shade if you intend to sit outside on a hot, sunny day. They don't have parasols for the outside seating area yet.
However, dogs are welcomed and they even provide bowls of water for them.
Highly...
