Disappointing After travelling from Leeds to do a painting job, I really wanted a home cooked breakfast before I started. Found this place and arrived around 9.15am. Looked clean and ladies serving were polite but that was it. No interaction. Only one other customer in a 20 seater cafe. Asked about the full English and told what items were on it (only scrambled egg option) paid £10+ for £7.85 breakfast and black coffee. Coffee arrived promptly but lacklustre in taste. Settled down to read whilst breakfast was freshly cooked. 5 minutes later the breakfast arrived. I think the delay was the toast being made. Clearly everything besides the toast was already made and just had to be reheated. The sausages were truly cheap & nasty, tinned wet mushrooms, microwaved hash brown. And of course lovely coffee. I think looking at all the regulars, (and friends I've made) Joannie and her staff are doing something right. I know its been a lifeline for some elderley customers. I know you can't please everyone, but the greatest majority love it. Thank you. Many more...
