Our first visit after recently moving into the area and we were not disappointed. Will definitely be returning. A lovely friendly welcome and nice atmosphere. Clean and tidy with traditional countryside pub decor, comfortable and cosy. For our meals we had starters, mains and just left enough room for some deserts. All four of us enjoyed everything we had chosen, as the food was well presented, extremely tasty, well cooked and good sized portions. Some dishes are also available as small portions if you prefer. The menu has a good selection of all courses and the bar is also stocked with a very good variety of drinks. Our party of four couldn't stop raving about the food and the fact that small portions were served, just a perfect amount for lunch. I was the greedy one and had leek and potato soup (homemade and delicious and beautifully hot) and scallops rolled in bacon in a garlic butter. These were to die for.
