Great place to eat, drink and enjoy a ambient atmosphere. the style of the pub is very quaint, low ceilings (Mind your head), Open fire (A fireplace to experience) and several little areas that you can hide away if you want to. The team here do so much to make your visit the perfect visit. I was recommended to pop in here as i have just moved locally, I was taken back by the Team and how they arranged for a specific table for us to sit on in a quiet corner. The food was amazing The service was amazing and the beer was spot on. Thank you for the experience and I am sure I will be back on a regular bases.

Amazing food. Ate here both Saturday evening and Sunday lunch time, both times were great. The lamb roast I had for Sunday lunch was quite possibly the best I’ve ever eaten at a pub. Fantastic all round, great staff and such a lovely, friendly manager. Would definitely recommend everyone to visit.

Beautiful pub, we were greeted by a lovely lady with a big smile who seated us and gave us a in-depth description of every Ale they sold!! Delicious food (I had butternut squash risotto) and really cannot recommend enough. Thank you :)

Lovely old Pub. We went for a late lunch while staying close by for a weekend. Before we booked we called in to find out if they could cater for 3 vegetarians in our group. We asked for Jacket potatoes and even though they don't have them on the menu they said they would make them for us. (Already a great start)

When we got there, we were greeted in the car park by who we thought was the chef. He knew about our group and request and said everything was already prepared.

The staff in the pub were lovely and very accomodating. The food portions were very hearty and tasted really good.

After we had finished the gentleman who greeted us in the car park came and spoke to us at great length. We found out that he is the owner of the pub and also the main chef.

Overall I can't recommend this place highly enough.

One word of warning... If you're tall mind your head! The ceilings in some areas of the pub...

What a shame. Had a meal in there twice. Booked table and for 4 other visits. Food was nice. A long wait of 1hr 30 minutes on second night for just a steak??? But staff happy enough and friendly enough. But unfortunately the person who took my phone booking allowed me to book a meal for Sunday at 7pm when they stop serving food at 4pm and a meal in Monday when they are CLOSED. This is not good enough and I'm disgusted nobody keeps a check on the diary to have forseen these errors to warn us. By the time we found out on sunday we did not have enough time to book another restaurant and on the Monday had to hunt for a takeaway to drive to. The last two bookings we had we went somewhere else. If they couldn't be bothered then neither...

We visited for the £12 roast (beef) today. It was absolutely beautifully presented, but sadly wasn't very hot, cold Yorkshire pudding, pretty much raw veg. Heard a lady next to us saying the carrot was so hard, she couldn't even cut it. This was definitely the case! One single huge rectangle of raw carrot! Virtually raw beans & tenderstem. The meat was excellent, although not that hot. Potatoes hot & delicious thankfully! A waitress came to ask how the food was, when we'd almost finished & we explained. She apologised saying she'd let the chef know and did we want the desert menu for when we've finished!? We declined at that point & nobody returned, so we paid & left. Disappointing...
