What an amazing place this is, with fantastic owners too.
My family and I were in the area and visited several times over a couple of weeks.
We had toast (not just any toast) - it was delish, quality bread. Another day I had the homemade Katsu curry - it was very tasty and clearly made with top quality ingredients, expertise and love.
We had to arrange a funeral while in the area and the cafe did the catering for that, providing the sandwiches and amazing home made cakes too.
Village groups were having their small get-togethers in the café and everyone was welcomed and so well looked after.
The café is clearly the hub of the village and we are so pleased that we found this first-class gem.
Next year we will be in the area again and it will definitely be our first port of call.
Well done...
Read moreHeard about this place by a friend who lives and works in the village. Had to check it out for ourselves and has become a Saturday breakfast tradition when lockdowns aren't a thing. The owners are friendly, the atmosphere relaxing and cheerful. And the food is top nosh. We love supporting the smaller cafes like this, even when parking can be a pain. Can't wait to return again once lockdowns are a thing of the past. Keep up the great work!
Edit April 2022. Wanted a cooked breakfast rather than making one ourselves so decided on a breakfast date at our fave little cafe. Great sized plates, tasty food though could've been cooked a little longer, and will definitely become a regular place for...
Read moreA lovely friendly village cafe that is well worth a visit. Very dog friendly not just tolerant like some. We could have gone inside but choose to sit out. We've already been twice and I'm sure we'll go again as we've another few days left at Plough Lane Caravan Site only a 20 min walk away. Excellent service, generous tea and coffee mugs/cups and our light meals were good and the dog loved his sausage. The cakes also look good. Lovely cafe well...
